Do the pros use stainless steel pin/wet tumble or Dry Tumble?

Complete BS. There are some disadvantages to wet tumbling with pins, but that’s not one of them.

    Brass Rotation

It depends. For hunting rifles, I have maybe 100 cases from a single lot that I rotate. For competition stuff, I typically have maybe 300 of a single lot that I rotate. I mark the cases so I know how many times the cases have been fired and keep them separated by rifle/lot.

    Rifle Scopes March-FX 1-10X24 34mm

I agree w/ Denys. I have a march scope that has double rotation markings on the windage turret. The only thing that the 2nd revolution markings does for me is make it harder to read the 1st revolution markings. I would rather have just one revolution marked with larger numbers.

Range Report Hornady 147 ELDM blowing up

Same here. The barrel that was blowing up the 153gn A-Tips was just fine with the 153.5gn Berger LRHT bullets. That was a 26” Bartlein 5R 1:7 barrel with maybe 1100 rounds on it, bullet speed ~2980fps. My point was that there are a lot of variables and the 147s might work, you don’t really...

Range Report Hornady 147 ELDM blowing up

Give them a try and see what happens. There are a lot of factors that can contribute to the problem: rotation rate (twist/fps), barrel type, number and style of lands, barrel age/condition, bullet jump to lands, how clean/dirty the barrel is, etc. Your configuration/use might be ok (or it might...

Hornady 6 Creedmoor brass...is it reloadable?

Sell, it someone will use it, especially since Lapua has paused production of 6 CM brass.. Lapua is better brass, but the Hornady is serviceable.

    6.5 prc with 153 Atip

That's pretty close to what I experienced, i.e., a 10% loss, albeit I was shooting about 2980fps in 1:7 twist. At that time, Hornandy's box said 1:8 twist MINIMUM, and their reloading data showed loads to 3100fps. But if you used the Miller formula it showed the 153gn A-Tip as not better than...

    6.5 prc with 153 Atip

In my original 26 inch barrel, I was shooting the ATips 2980fps with 57.8gn H1000 and ADG brass. That was not a max load, but iit was not far from a max load. And remember speed is affected significantly by barrel length with H1000 and heavy bullets.

    6.5 prc with 153 Atip

IIRC, the jump at mag length was about .070 fo the ATips.. This was a couple years ago, but I don’t think that have changed anything with the ATips, not sure about the ELDs, but I haven’t heard nearly as many complaints about them recently. I have a friend that thinks the Berger 156s shoot...

    6.5 prc with 153 Atip

Frank’s comments are absolutely true. But it’s also true that the Berger bullets did not have any problem In the same conditions.

    6.5 prc with 153 Atip

I shot the 153 ATips out of a 6.5 PRC SAAMI spec chamber with H1000 and was very happy with them until they started blowing up. My barrel was 7 twist, so 7.5 might be different. But on a hot day with maybe 1200 rounds through the barrel, I lost 5 out of 50 during a match. I used the 153.5...

    Berger 153.5 jump?

If you want to mag feed and are already at mag length, the only way to shorten the jump is a new chamber/barrel. You could also load the round longer and single feed by hand, but I don’t think that is what you are looking for. I shortened the freebore by having a different chamber cut when I...

    Berger 153.5 jump?

I was about .150 in my first barrel, and they were good. I shortened the freebore n my current barrel and am now shooting the about .050. They are stuffed further into the case than I would prefer, but with a short action you don’t have a lot of choice. I would try them at you max mag length...

    Hunting/Competition Rifle Selection

If you are going to hunt and compete on any knd of regular basis, you will want 2 different rifles. Exactly what rifles will depend on what you are hunting and what kind of competitions you are doing. Of the calibers you listed, I would say 6.5 Creedmoor for competition, and 6.5 PRC for...

    Shoot n See targets

I think it will depend on your scope and the conditions. And maybe your eyes. 600m is long way to see little holes, even if they are bright. A little bit of mirage and I think the chances get pretty close to zero. And for my 60+ year old eyes, seeing a 1 inch spotter at 600yards can be...

Which Short Action Customs Vice Bushing for a TRG42 300WM

The answer is the diameter of the barrel at the point you are going to clamp it. The TRG barrels are sometimes really hard to get off. Might not be a good place to start if you haven’t done it before.

    New Hornady 109gr 6mm ELD-M

I’ve been shooting them for a while now and have mostly confirmed what I thought before. Up to 600 yards, they shoot pretty much the same as the A-TIPS. At around 600, the BC difference starts to show, and the A-Tips pull ahead. So I’ve been using the ATips for long range matches (out to...

    red dot on a 22

Have a 1 MOA red dot on a good 22 pistol. With a rest, I can group maybe 2 inches at 50 yards on a good day. Your eyes (or at least my eyes) cannot resolve an inch at 100 yards.
