Night Vision Question on MH25 Helmet mount/bridge

That's how I did mine. Managed not to puncture my eyeball, which I thought was a good thing. Looks like I'll need to go with the OG model instead, just to be sure. If funds only allowed for an MH25 and a PVS-14 to be dualled up, which would you place on the dominant eye?

    Tikka T1X

For the time being it is classed the same as a bog standard bolt action hunting rifle. To say our gun laws are inconsistent would be an understatement. Apologies for the thread derailment. Back to the main event!

Night Vision Question on MH25 Helmet mount/bridge

Yeah, from a physical will they line up perspective perhaps, but I will not be hanging the net worth of a small car off of them in any sort of use setting.

If only I hadn't just splurged on a shitty Chinese LMG in an act of spite against our draconian firearms laws.... Not sure I can sneak TWO new guns past the wife....

Night Vision Question on MH25 Helmet mount/bridge

Just out of curiosity @WhereNow&How , what is your IPD? Just had mine measured at 67 mm. I'd rather save a few bucks and the weight by getting the LW if I splurge on the MH25. FYI, it would appear the MH25 might actually be cheaper in Canada - listing for $4399 CAD which is $3310 USD at the...

Thank you SO MUCH for this! I'm very tempted to snatch up a 17 HMR lefty now.

Night Vision Question on MH25 Helmet mount/bridge

Why that particular bridge in place of the lightweight? Couldn't you use the FLIR Breach Arm for IC/D-14 in place of the second J-arm on the lightweight?

    Tikka T1X

I do know that Canadian companies pretty enthusiastically will NOT ship to the US, so I'm guessing there could be little to no issue on the Finland end of the matter and a big one at the US end.

Many thanks. I didn't mean to be accusatory in my earlier response, I just wanted to be sure it had actually been done, this being the internet and all. Please keep us informed as this waiting is killing me!!

See my last post. This may not work.

    Tikka T1X

Have you actually done this? If you look on the Tikka website in the spare parts catalog, page 7, the extractors differ between the two calibres. That's in addition to the different magazines. Please advise for the rest of us. ETA: The parts look pretty darn similar: 22LR here and 17 HMR...

I am not a patient man. But I am cheap, so I have resisted dumping my LH Tikka ecosystem for a custom action one. Hopefully the wait is worth it!

    Night Vision China Coti

You might think so, but it appears that if it lands in the US of A, suddenly foreign tech becomes ITAR. Go figure.

The 17 HMR version in LH has appeared here in Canada, with word that the 22 LR won't land until 2021. What were they thinking???

    Night Vision China Coti

If you can have them drop one off in Canada on the way over I am interested! Or ship up here, though ITAR might be a problem. Not sure how that works with China stuff.....

    Tikka T3 Thread

I too have had dribbly ejection from Tikkas. I usually pull the ejector and clean the bolt recess and parts thoroughly. Been trying graphite (dry) lube lately and it seems good so far.

    Cross Eye Dominance and AR15

I've always held a rifle left handed from childhood, so right feels weird to me. Opposite for pistol. Reps is the key to whatever you decide to go with. Your brain is highly adaptable.
