    You still have 2000+ rounds of barrel life in that barrel. Does it shoot well enough to keep you happy for 2000+ more rounds is the real question. If yes, then thread away, if no, save up and put a top tier pipe on the rifle.

    Anything over about 7" is kosher for subs. I think we see like 20-40fps MV gain/loss between 7" and 16" usually. Supersonic might be affected more than that.
