    Optics Advice for AR-15

The ones that often hang out downrange at the local gun club? You'd think those guys would learn.. Yeah that's what I was getting at. The amount of people that go to ranges looking all kitted out for WW3 only to plop down at a bench and not even touch any of the gadgets bolted to the rifle is...

What does one need an offset RD for when bench shooting?

Typical thickness of a M-LOK handguard?

Just measured 7 handguards randomly, they were actually all 2.5-3.1mm thick.

Typical thickness of a M-LOK handguard?

I've got a bunch of them, and while I've never measured I know the thickness varies considerably because when I'm swapping accessories the screws need a lot adjusting to go from one rail to another.

    Not what l expected

People get that idea from arfcom and reddit, and then repeat it everywhere.

    KAK products

I've got 14.8" RLGS and 15" ILGS barrels and they are smoother than all my 14.5" and 13.7" mids by quite a bit. I see one of the 13.7" ILGS barrels in my future, I've wanted to get a custom one made for a while but can't stomach the custom barrel price for what I'd use the gun for. No clue...

    KAK products

Speaking of KAK, every now and then I check out their barrels section to see what weird new stuff they're offering. Wasn't disappointed this time. https://kakindustry.com/barrel-ar15-6mm-arc-13-7-intermediate-gas-1-7-5-4150-nitride/...

    Best brace ?

Not that any of them are great, but I find the Tailhook Mod 2 to be the least not great.

    adjustable gas block

If your guy knows his porting, there will be no more tuning left to do with an AGB.

Longer range ar15 sight in distance

In a addition to that, even accommodating a BDC isn't as simple as just zeroing at 50 because the manual said to. As you said, 50/200 almost never works out and chances are you aren't shooting the exact bullet at the exact speed in the same environmentals that the reticle designer input into his...

Ruger SFAR small frame 308, 6.8 pounds

That's where it's at for me. I can get most all of my 5.56 guns to shoot .75-1" with any generic SMK load, get a fine zero and I'm done, time to go hit things and never shoot a group again unless troubleshooting is required later on.

Geissele Cut Rifled SPR Build and Barrel Evaluation. (Part 4 (Load Development 28MAY25) Update!!!

Same. I've shot a lot of groups where 3-4 of them look great and the 1-2 outliers make me think it's a trash group. Then I'm pleasantly surprised when it's still a .8" group. I think 7 twist originally caught on because "mil-spec bro!" and then hung around because the general consensus is that...

    Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

For sure, if a guy wants an old BMW to drive hard and modify he's way better off starting with a non M car. And as good as the M3's M10 sounds with ITB's, the M20 sounds even better, so there's that. Not to mention the underhood bling factor. I miss my old E30. If I knew then what I know now I...

    Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

Problem is the E30 M3's are regularly fetching 6 figures these days. That puts them solidly into "too valuable to drive" category. No need to feel guilty about beating on a Cayman. They do sound great though, even though I've got a weird hangup about BMW's with anything less than 6 cylinders in...

Did something similar in 2018 hand unloading a pallet of tractor parts off a gooseneck. One of the parts rolled to my corner and down went the pallet with my leg underneath. I felt a pop but for the first 30 seconds didn't feel anything. Then the nausea came on strong and I realized I wasn't...

    Dmr/ precision ar type trigger

I'm not picking on your desire to try a 2 stage. Do what you want. I'm just ranting about the hive mentality of people that think 2 stage is the only way without being able to articulate why. That is kinda the idea. If I bought a single stage that didn't fire from any movement I would return it...
