    Was about to but figured I'd read further and see if someone else got to it first. The JP Signature brake was a 100(?) piece limited run, and $350 IIRC, but they did mention that their next generation of brakes would be using lessons learned from the Signature.

    Rolling Thunder has been out of production for years. Titan is still available but has more or less been superseded by the Titan Extreme.

    Those reduce exactly 0% recoil, unless you count the reduction from added weight.

    The PA Hypertap has been one of the best available for a few years. Top tier recoil reduction, tunable, light and small, not blasty for the shooter at all. The PA M4-72 is probably the only brake I've had that knocks the shooters hat off. It's effective, and on a 20" barrel it won't be as bad...

    Nah, the performance has been surpassed by smaller brakes for years. Plus it's ugly.

    Huh, didn't know they finally updated that article. Sweet. Most of those brakes would look massive on an AR though, and some rules sets have brake size restrictions. Not many of them are in 1/2x28 thread either, which is presumably what the OP has.

    Eh, nothing too mysterious. It sounds like you're a bit on the undergassed side and the different pressure curves of the various powders are enough to get you a little closer to the edge of function.

    BKings has been thermal fit for me. Can't remember exactly which model, but they specify on their website.
