Gunsmithing What action to build custom 223 on?

I would go 7.5 twist personally and build it off of a falkor mainly because I don’t have one lol. My 223 is an 8 twists and shoots 80’s excellent, built on a 223. My main varmint rifle is built on a ks sa3R action, and my secondary is built on a lone peak.

    Tripod Suggestions

I run 3 different fat boys and they are amazing. I had a leofoto and an innorel prior and the Fatboy are awesome. From hunting, spotting and prs they are just so stable

    PRS bino choice for 2025

I got to play with some Zeiss 15x last season at a match and the glass was awesome (no reticle). The swaro nl pure glass is outstanding, but never played with the slc. Apex summit pro 2 15’s with reticle are really good glass with reticle as well.

Weigh in on my next coyote rifle build

I believe I’m much over pressure compared to what most shoot at, but I have 2 barrels that my load is safe in and doesn’t show any signs of pressure on primer and brass so that’s where I shoot it. I would expect 3800-3850 for most. As far as sizing goes I just use a 20 tac full length bushing...

Weigh in on my next coyote rifle build

For 300 and in a 20 cal would be my choice for sure. Im running a 20 tac with 39gr blitzkings at 4000fps and 35gr bergers at 4050fps. Super fast, super flat and hammers yotes. Inside that 450 yard range it’s lights out. A 204 would be the same. Here’s some 20 tac groups I also love my...

MDT ACC Elite vs Vision Pro chassis

Unfortunately I’d have to just go off of opinions of others, which generally people believe they do help. I’ve only ever shot my elite with the jellies installed. I primarily shot my vision last season in matches and practice and my elite was a back up. Still saw lots of rounds but not nearly...

MDT ACC Elite vs Vision Pro chassis

It’s a tough one but I’d lean to the vision slightly

    Beginner LPR build

I prefer a custom action over factory personally. Better options for the 700 platform vs tikka though it is growing fast. As for barrel, you won’t go wrong with any top manufacturers and make sure you get a good gunsmith or reputable prefit. I like CRB, ks arms and bartlein barrels personally...

    6mm BRA

You should look at the alpha 6bra findings on accurate shooter. It was tested a ton with the long range bench rest crowd. They had phenomenal results and then all of a sudden issues occurred. As far as I know it’s the only caliber that’s caused any issues. Clickers and stiff bolt closes which...

    Switch Barrel Build

Another vote on the terminus Zeus. No tools required minus an Allen key for a barrel change. Makes it so much faster. I have a tl3 and a Zeus plus 5-6 other custom actions and the Zeus makes barrel changes the easiest.

Which do you prefer in competition - holdovers or adjusting turrets?

I always dial until the stage specified no dialing which happens roughly once a year. I do practice hold overs for that reason but I always dial otherwise.

    Deciding between 25GT and 25x47

I mainly run a 6bra and a 25 creed the past 2 seasons. I switched just a few weeks back to a 25x47 Lapua and I’m shocked how similar the recoil is to the 6bra and so much less then the 25 creed. Very easy to spot your shots off a prop/positional compared to a 25 creed. accuracy is amazing, and...

SAC Seating Die - real world experiences?

I run 4-5 of there sizers and 1 seater. The seating die is excellent and very repeatabe, excellent fit and finish. That said there are lots of good seating dies and I’ve had excellent luck with the Redding ones too. I’ve mainly switched to arbor press and Wilson die but the sac seater won’t...

    Manners LRH Discussion

I have 1 hnt 26 and 2 LRH’s. The both are excellent options but prefer the hnt 26 if I had to choose 1. If packability had to be a strong point then the folding hnt 26 would take my vote

It's Hunting Season: Show Us Your Rack!

Finally got to put the new smokeless muzzleloader to use. Got it zero’d at 100 on saturday with 2 nice little 3 shot groups and took it to 550 yards ready to hunt. This morning things fell together after having this guy on camera for 3 years, had to make a long 40-60 yard poke to seal the deal lol
