Spotters Sig 3K vs 6K vs Fury AB’s

I was just at Scheels and they let me take them outside, had the Vortex Fury AB’s, the Sig 6K 10x42 and the Swaro EL Ranges side by side. Obviously, Swaro glass is better, even in a parking lot. The Sigs were NOT nearly as blue-tinted as the 10k’s. Makes sense, the 10k’s tint is due to the...

Spotters Terrapin X vs Sig Kilo 8k

Yes, another vs thread, lol. Looking for reviews/user experience on either, if you’ve owned or used both and can compare; even better. Sig is smaller and has integrated ballistics which are both nice but I haven’t seen if the laser rangefinder is close to Kilo 10k performance. Looking at...

    New Leica Geovid PRO 42

@406, I don’t doubt it. Dorgan makes target placement tricky and hard to range even when there’s no snow, I shot that CO one last year in 102 degree weather. He’s good at being you double take some of the ranges, I’m sure snow didn’t help. On the flip side, I heard reports about the Blue Steel...

    New Leica Geovid PRO 42

Right?!? I remember having this same discussion last year about the same players. Sig did a lot right, I have to wonder if they’re coming up with a pair with better glass and working on the tint. Leica is classic Euro customer service, they won’t change the display for a couple years I’d...

    New Leica Geovid PRO 42

Glad the 3200’s are working well for you. They have great glass, laser is pretty darn good and for what you do it sounds like they’re great, even the ballistics are working out. Maybe I’ll set up a few profiles in my dads pair for him and forget trying to get them connected to his kestrel. I...

    New Leica Geovid PRO 42

You’re not the only one struggling with this conundrum. Despite all the recent advances in lasers, glass, ballistics, etc; no one has come up with a package that gives us everything we want. Sig kilo 10k has the best civilian rangefinder and display. Mediocre glass at best, even if the blue...

    New Leica Geovid PRO 42

I don’t have 3200’s, played with my dad’s a bit. Maybe they do have sensors for pressure and temp. I assumed that because they need the kestrel for full Applied Ballistics that they didn’t have sensors but per the manual they claim to have some. The main thing with the PRO’s is access to the...

Sig Kilo BDX 3000 vs Sig Kilo 6K

@Rodney65, this is pretty common for the laser to not be centered inside the reticle. Lase a power pole or some other small object to figure out where the laser is in relation to the reticle. The 10k’s actually have a feature to “center up” out align the reticle and laser, most RF’s are a little...

    Rifle Scopes Leupold MK5 tan/fde

They can’t even keep black ones in stock, why would they release another color option right now that would just snarl up production more?

    Norma golden target match?

I have shot a case of the 6.5 CM Norma Golden Target. It does indeed come with Norma brass. Averaged a bit slow from a 24” barrel, 2650 fps, 50 ES with 17 SD and about .7” groups. Pretty decent ammo for the price. Not sure if the 6 Creedmoor would be much different.

Norma Golden Target Match 6.5CM 143gr

I’ve finished my first case of this stuff, so far it’s pretty good for the price. Real average seems to be about .7 moa, plenty good for practice and local matches, probably even an NRL Hunter match. It will group 3-4 on top of each other and then throw one or two. (Other groups not pictured)...

7mm Mag or 300 Win Mag for Hunting

😆 the 7 rem mag is a great, proven hunting and long range cartridge but I think I can summarize why 7 PRC is a natural modern upgrade: 1. No belt. Many say after first firing for reloading to ignore the belt and headspace off the shoulder but it’s a holdover from bygone African double guns in...

7mm Mag or 300 Win Mag for Hunting

Hornady tends to do it right(besides their exploding bullets); hence the high popularity of 6.5 Creed over the 260 Rem. Even though they were ballistic equivalents big H marketed it right and won the long range crowd by putting out factory offerings with accurate, match grade, high BC bullets...
