    Newest Gunbroker Aquisition: TarHunt KSG

Nice find! As far as slugs go you just need to know if the barrel is rifled or smooth. If it is rifled you can use sabot slugs. If it is smooth than stick to a standard slug, no sabot unless you want them to keyhole through whatever you are shooting.

    Suppressors 1/2-28 .45acp 3 lug adapter ?

If you go by the compatibility list on their web site no. I would probably call anyway as websites have been know to be lacking or out of date.

Leupold MK IV LRT 8.5-25 x 50 turret issue.

Instead of simply loosening the set screw(s) and trying to turn; how about removing them and lifting the knob off and then putting it where it needs to be. My thinking is the set screw(s) may have caused the shaft to bulge if tightened to tight. Removing the screw(s) ensures they are not...

    Snow Day Tinkering

I wasn't sure if they would feed properly so I ran them through my Ruger Precision Rimfire from magazines that I reduced the spring tension on. The magazines functioned fine and all rounds fed fine. I also ran them through my Ruger Mark IV Target and again the rounds chambered just fine.

Rifle Scopes New for 2025, the Kahles K540i

I don't see what you concern is with their service. You only had to pay for shipping to the East coast, you didn't have to deal with shipping out of the country. You didn't mention that the repair was not properly addressed so I assume it was to your liking. Time wise it didn't seem extreme...

    Snow Day Tinkering

So, it's a snow day in my neck of the woods. Instead of playing in the snow I decided to play in the reloading room. A while back I picked up some blaster ammo. This is Federal 36 gr. HP ammo. I decided to break out my Waltz die and see how the HP stem worked. This is what I ended up with...

Lap Rings for .22 Squirrel Rifle?

Since you already stated you're going to lap them, apparently you're not ready to listen to what others may have to say!

Rifle Scopes New for 2025, the Kahles K540i

As a right handed shooter, I like the left side windage adjustment and the top mounted parallax adjustments. I don't like the price point but sometimes sacrifice's are necessary.

    Maggie’s Electric hot water heater

I found this info: "The adopted standards, which are expressed in UEF are shown in table I.1. These standards apply to products with effective storage volumes less than 2 gallons and input ratings greater than 50,000 Btu/h (as listed in table I.1) and manufactured in, or imported into, the...

    Continuous scope ring slippage

With regard to how your torque wrench would come out of adjustment, that would be physical wear on a part or the weakening of a spring. You didn't mention which version you have but the couple I have looked at have a handle/lever at the end that will break over when the torque value is reached...

Badger Ordinance Dead Level not level?

Something else you can try to double check your bubble levels; if you don't already have a level app for you cell phone download one. Most have a process to calibrate itself, do that first. Then find a flat surface line a counter top and put your phone on it. Put your bubble levels next to...

Simple Green will actually dissolve aluminum and actually eat through steel if left long enough. I had it destroy a parts washer years ago.
