    Could your problem with slugs be that you are shooting the wrong type? Rifled barrels will shoot sabot slugs fine while a smooth bore will key hole them in the target. Regular slug will fly straight in smooth bore guns.

    So I have a Kestrel 5700 that I upgraded to AB Elite status. I noticed in the device option that Quantum will not recognize the 5700 until January. Does that mean that I will have access to Elite features, instead of just lite, in January when the 5700 is recognized?

    To late as I've already got it. Haven't shot off it yet, just messed around mounting various spotting scopes and guns. Picked up a clamp with arca attachment for guns without arca or picatinny rails. When I clamped my KM OPS 51 is when I learned I needed to tighten up the ball clamp.

    When you went to break the screws loose, did you crack them all loose before removing or simply remove one and then reinstall or try and remove each one individually? If you did the last you do realize that if the base didn't fit the receiver perfectly, the tension against the problem screw...

    Looking at your pictures it looks like the case mouth was smashed against something and the shoulder was deformed in the process. How is this the cause of the annealer? Maybe some more information about cartridge used, dies, bullets, and anything else that might lead to determining the cause...
