Rifle Scopes 1k tactical scopes vs 2k + tactical scopes

Everyone’s budget is different. I played with the newest TT because I wanted to buy a pair of them for my match gun and trainer. There were 3 distinct attributes I didn’t care for so I passed and purchased something else. While I agree with most everything you said, there are MANY options...

Rifle Scopes 1k tactical scopes vs 2k + tactical scopes

As with most things in manufacturing, twice the price rarely means twice as good. It’s not linear, it’s exponential. You’re not only paying for features that are slightly better, more robust in most cases, or altogether missing from lower cost models, but you’re also paying for the R&D work that...

What do you use to Transport ammo at a Match?

Highly recommend Walsh Custom Defense carriers.

PRS Talk PRS DIY barricades (pics encouraged)

Photo of a buddy on the rooftop I built. You can see it rests of a piece of piping that goes through the holes on the stanchion posts. You can choose the height you want based on the holes you use, which also induces more/less angle. Cotter pins fit through holes I drilled in the ends of the...

PRS Talk PRS DIY barricades (pics encouraged)

I’ll try to get a photo of my roof top, it’s adjustable in pitch from VERY steep all the way to barely pitched. Also consider a tank trap, those seem to be at every 2 day match.

PRS Talk PRS DIY barricades (pics encouraged)

I believe about 72 inches. I’ve built another that is smaller in width. Only 2 sections that are PRS barricade in height, and 30 inches of cattle gate. The gate comes from tractor supply and I believe are less than $50. I’ve got a few buddies that split the gate in half and built 2 units from 1...

Who else keeps a "truck gun" with them?

“Rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it”

Who else keeps a "truck gun" with them?

Thanks man! Built it myself. Wood surround and foam from a pelican 1750 I had laying around.

Rifle Scopes Nightforce NEW Mil-XT reticle

I saved the photo from the 6.5 Guys blog onto my iPad and use a DFAT on the below barricade. Works out really well for good practice. Really crisp through the NF.

PRS Talk 6.5 creedmoor bullet weight for prs.

When the ELD 140’s were hard to find last spring I shot the 130’s for a bit (probably 1500 rounds). Was moving them at 3000fps which is fairly warm. I did notice a more snappy recoil but it wasn’t unmanageable. Ended up back with the 140’s when they were back in stock. Depends on your setup...

PRS Talk what power do most of you guys use @ PRS style matches?

I shoot at higher power than most but it depends on the stage. If I’m going to be panning/searching for targets I’ll start at 15x. If I’m pounding away at the same target and have a good field for natural point of aim vs natural terrain (i.e. PRS barricade stage on a lone berm, 400 yards) I...

    PRS Talk Brake vs Suppressor

I’ll be shooting all matches with a can this year. As was said above with the 6mm’s and weight kits, the rifles are amazing to shoot these days, especially suppressed.

Rifle Scopes Tangent, Minox, or Vortex

Am I the only person who doesn’t love the markings on the TT turrets? I feel like the half mil line should be taller.

PRS Talk Wrist Coach Vs Python

I’ve always found that dialing with your right hand is significantly faster and you also don’t break position off the bag. Your right hand is coming up to run the bolt anyway. I’m talking specifically about prone, troop line for example. On a barricade can depend on the balance point.

Once you break your first python you’ll remember what you just said lol. Ask me how I know.
