Best out the box production/factory bolt rifle around nowadays

If shooting off hand is also on the programme, not only fence post benchrest, none of the rifles metioned in this thread can hold a candle to this Bleiker CISM with 10 round magazine in any SA match caliber topped with a scope  These are factory off the shelf rifles. Same goes for the...

Scope mount for swiss k31 rifle

Use Swissproductsusa drill and tap mount for left side placement of the scope. Then use a Garand type cheekpiece to get proper cheek contact. By doing this there is no need to move the head during cycling of the bolt and one can reach the straight pull rifles full potential during rapid fire...

M40 scope base project by LRI

What is the correct mount for a replica of the M40A1 with the Weaver T10 scope on top?

    Navy NSWC Crane M83

This M83 looks almost exactly like my competition silhouette rifle in th 80'ies. Only difference are Rem 700 varmint barrel and Weaver T16 to keep the weight down. Shooting silhouette matches I would score 2 - 3 targets more, out of 40, with the silhouette stock compared to a HTG I also had to...

A well faked K98 Sniper rifle?

This is not even a fake. It's a clone. With a Yugo M98 as the base rifle this is a $500 rifle in Norway as shown as the only thing of value is the scope, if it is legit. Mount is probably east European. Accumount in USA also make split ring side mounts. A Yugo M98 cost $100 in Norway.

Quote from my less than PC history teacher in 6th grade at school: "Italians of today are the result of 2000 years of failed Roman immigration policies"..

How to expand the magazine capacity from 4 to 5 rounds?

You need a 308 "ADL" magazinebox with a spacer in the rear. This will stack the 5 "square" 308 rounds in the forward part of the magazine. You'll also need a short 308 follower.

    Snipery 1896 Mauser Broomhandle Carbine

Wow! That's a stunningly beautiful empire! All boxes ticked .

    Snipery 1896 Mauser Broomhandle Carbine

Then, it is only an empire left on the bucket list? I had an Artillery model as well a long time ago. Shot it at long ranges with GECO flat point Luger ammo on a rifle silhouette range. The rear sight coming out sideways to compensate for spindrift is cool :) I'd really like to have a clone...

    Snipery 1896 Mauser Broomhandle Carbine

@buffalowinter The only missing things now is a Luger carbine and an empire to complete your collection  The Kaiser could only hunt with C96 and Luger carbines due to his disabled left arm.

    PH M85

Hi, What we did was design our own one off custom reticles and then we sendt the drawing on paper to Pecar in Berlin. Pecar then made the reticle as a one off and returned a custom reticle that we could install ourself. I now made a priciple sketch showing the reticle I used. The sketch is NOT...

    Accuracy International AT Rusting?

It's made in the UK. Of course it will rust. My first car was a well used Ford Cortina Mk2. You could actually hear it rust when parked :-)

    PH M85

The V-reticle was "prototyped" in the cheap German ZF4 scope in ww2. There is a pic of the reticle in Peter Senich's book "The German Sniper 1914 -1945". I ordered spare Pecar reticles i the 80'ies that had ballistic dots like the old silhouette reticles. The bdc dots started with the centre...

    FBI Sniper Rifles

In the beginning of the 80'ies I was sponsored by Winchester Europe with a Win M70 Varmint in 222rem and a Weaver T16 for international moving target shooting in the old Olympic event "Running Deer 100m". I still have the T16 scope: I have an old insurance photo from app 1985 of the rifle...

Two triggers down in new impact 737R action. Is it me? Are there more reliable triggers?

That's not correct. Anschutz 20oz triggers on biathlon rifles are 100% relieable and they are used and abused in comps at temperatures down to -20C. Even adjusted down to 150g/5oz the Annie twostage is mechanically much safer than any single stage trigger or fake twostage that has...

    Accuracy International AT-XC

No, been there, done that. I shoot better with a chassis rifle like the Walther LG400. Moving targets off hand is also in the equation. That's why the new AI looks interesting. However, the weight in stock config is way too high. Slimming down the new Anschutz is also an option. The Annie is...

    Accuracy International AT-XC

I shoot field target comps in Europe and all shots are taken off hand unsupported. Anybody know the app weight of an AX-XC without all the bells and whistels with a 24" rem varmint barrel? Configured just like this LG400:
