    Light primer strike closing BCG

It is the main reason to use #34 primers which are less sensitive than normal LRP.

How To Read OCW Test Results

Don't. take this too hard but my comments are based on experience. The groups do show a lot of variance in size that can't be explained by the load. Either the rifle or the shooter and usually it's the shooter if everything is tight on the rifle. I am also assuming this is a fairly light...

    Odd primer strikes

I used to buy single sleeves and usually there wasn't anything to prevent opening the sleeve. During the 2013 (?) shortage I was in a "Retail Store" and noticed they had started taping the sleeve to deter opening and pilfering as they termed it.

    Odd primer strikes

My guess is you purchased a single/multiple 100 ct sleeves and someone swapped the 450's with probably a SPP to get a lower price. I'm betting that's a Win SPP. Wouldn't be the first time.

    Advanced musings on powder humidity

You have learned the fallacy of blindly looking at humidity. The other item that you need to come to grips with is that putting powder in a measure in a ? humidity room does not magically change the humidity to ?. It is a mass transfer phenomena and takes time to occur. You powder in the...

    What Am I doing Wrong

While not likely its possible if annealing to get the shoulder too soft and with a tight neck to expand the body at the shoulder junction just enough to create an issue.

    Interpreting Ladder Test

Shooting a ladder is not shooting groups. Ladders are shot to determine vertical dispersion and usually shot 1 shot/load on a target. If shooting for group size you typically will shoot a charge on each target. As for chronograph data if you are looking for flat spots they are not a function...

    Extractor Mark

Here is what I would think from your post. The brass is seeing high pressure. Only way that it gets that messed up. If you hear a delay in firing after the click it is not a trigger issue as the click is the firing pin striking the primer. It is a delay in ignition of the primer or the...

    Sizing die woes

You need to make sure the neck of a fired case didn't separate and stay in the the chamber.

    7.62 Mk316-ish hand load expectations

The Mod 0 was not loaded at Lake City as far as I know but it actually used Federal Brass and standard FGMM primers. https://ndia.dtic.mil/wp-content/uploads/2009/infantrysmallarms/tuesdaysessioniii8524.pdf

    Standard Deviations Deciphered

Great Job. I only wish I had the time and patience to put together a presentation like this. I went to your channel and watched the Recoil videos and you did an excellent job on those. Like @RegionRat, I'm curious as to your background.

    Flier

Unfortunately, the OP didn't give any information on his setup (bags, bipod, bench, prone, etc) or rifle (hunting, F class, weight, barrel profile, free floated, etc) so we don't know much. I will tend to agree with @RegionRat in general but in my opinion, based on the target my first...

Adding weight to rifle for load development?

Not knowing your load development process or what you actually need in terms of precision I can only make some assumptions. Barrel harmonics with a free floated barrel should not vary much with weight added to the chassis so you may be able to have similar results. It is likely that once the...

Virgin Brass and Projectile Measurement Tolerances

You are getting lost in the finer details of reloading for precision. As for your data, posting the ES is meaningless without knowing what the standard deviation and mean are. You're only giving us data based off 2 pieces. On the surface you measurements don't appear correct. I would not...

Anyone manually dump and trickle on a A&D FX120i?

You'll be happy with that scale/balance. You also be happy with having someone with experience guide you which in my mind is more important than any specific piece of equipment. There are so many rabbit holes that we can go down it helps having someone with experience to help avoid those that...

Anyone manually dump and trickle on a A&D FX120i?

You are absolutely correct. I guess my losing sleep is catching up with me. Going by inches and throwing in 1 MOA shooter and rifle: 1MOA at 1000 yds is 10.47" .5 MOA at 1000 yds is 5.2" .2 MOA at 1000yds is 2.1" 4.4 inches is 4.3 MOA SQRT(10.47^2+4.4^2) is 11.4" So the .9 increase is...

Anyone manually dump and trickle on a A&D FX120i?

EDIT: Error in this analysis. Go to post #39 A rifle that shots a true 0.5 MOA group at 100 yds is not going to shoot any better at that @1000YDS so the spread 0.5 MOA grows to 5 MOA or 5.2". The drop at 1000 yds for the 12 fps is ~4.4 " so I screwed up. That would 4.2 MOA. So the correct...

@Marv_2101 , EDIT: I screwed up! here is the correct analysis. If you will let me I'd like to point something out going back to the Chargemaster question and not trying to pick a favorite here but to answer you question on what's good enough. If you look at loading your 30-06 for 1000yds you...

Is the Chargemaster Supreme a solid choice for a beginner?

I used the straw for awhile but ultimate cut the end of a 243 case body, neck, and shoulder. It seemed to work a little bit better trickling the smaller 8208XBR. Worked more like the bushings.
