I did a long write up on this a while back. The best thing to do besides wheeler action wrench, rosin, and barrel vice is soak the barrel/action joint in wd40 or CLP over night. You would be amazed how far that stuff gets into the threads and makes life a lot easier on the Tikka. My last barrel...- Sako man

I already know how the gun shoots. It's a 1/2 moa gun, and lower with that load. The harmonics of a fluted barrel is going to perform a little different than a non fluted barrel. It may be as good, and work with my load, it may not, that's what I will have to test.- Sako man

This is my experience. And speaking of Frank, he is the one the guys that recommended cleaning last with a Hops patch, my barrels have been rusts free since. After a good scrub down I loose my zero and it require 7-10 shots before the barrel settles back to it's last confirmed zero. If you...- Sako man

Anecdotal. I have found there is only some correlation between what the barrel looks like inside and how it shoots. Tooling marks, fire cracking, filiform erosion and yet this barrel still shoots sub MOA on my Tikka. I think only guys at the Frank Green level can make sense of this stuff.- Sako man

Got this new, from an AI AT, shoots bug holes with 175 fgmm, and I have shot groups around 0.35 with 168s. So, in other words she shoots awesome. Pretty sure im under 100 rounds total, I was tracking my rounds till about 70 rounds then think i may have put another box through it after that. Just...- Sako man
