    Opening lab radar up?

A little epoxy on the studs fixes it nicely. Replace the USB with a DC plug and you are set.

    Moving NFA items to SOT

Is the goal to have people have access to the items now? If so, then a trust works fine, the individuals just supply their prints and photos as they are added to the trust. If it's inheritance, it's covered by a will and a a free transfer to the heir. If employees need access, then a...

    Opening lab radar up?

it's been a while, but 8 screws seems right, one under the tamper/warranty seal on the bottom. I does need a little work to wiggle apart. I installed a DC plug on mine to replace the silly mini-USB.

An interesting question occurred to me

Probably worth it to have your local dealer do the shipment and pay them for handling the package.

    Moving NFA items to SOT

What is the end goal? What will be the firearms business of the corporation? Getting an FFL for the purpose of a personal collection will not be approved, you need to be doing business. Do you want to deal with the paperwork and inspections? Firearms can be transferred to the Corp entity...

An interesting question occurred to me

Let's put it this way, if you think medical insurance is a racket, you've seen nothing compared to common carriers. Anything over the base $100 is a major fight without detailed records, and even that may take months to be processed.

An interesting question occurred to me

Can you provide receipts for said set, does it match the weight, size and contents listed on the waybill?

An interesting question occurred to me

Unless you actually have a claim, at which point you'll need to provide evidence of what was in the package and what it was worth, like receipts. I've had to process a couple of claims, they won't pay and you can sue till the cows come home, best of luck.

An interesting question occurred to me

Not laws, just company policy, like no shirt, no shoes, no service.

An interesting question occurred to me

Note that you will not be covered for loss or damage, as it's out of policy. No reason to pay for insurance.

An interesting question occurred to me

Not a crime, but they will not cover any claims for loss or damage due to violation of said policy. They have been known to destroy packages that are out-of-policy when discovered.

    M830r LRF 1535nm

The 21's will range to 13K yards. They have some 15 functions, like distance and azimuth between two points, height difference between two points, range and height, horizontal range and more. The main driving point is beam size, on the V21's the beam is .3x.7 mil, the Steiner is like the...

    M830r LRF 1535nm

Both need to back to the factory in Europe for repair. At least the Vectors have a long track record with solid service in both the Army and Marine Corps and 10+ NATO countries. Of all the units I've sold, I replaced one due to a dim display and had one go back to Switzerland for repair after...

    Coriolis Effect?

At ELR ranges, Coriolis has an effect that is significant and has to be accounted for in some fashion, just as spin drift. The way I describe it in class is this: When the value of SD and CE exceed .1 to .2 mil, it's worth fixing. If you were .3 mil right when zeroing at 100, would you just...

Looking for mount with windage/elevation adjustments to co-align LRF with a spotting scope

If it's being rifle mounted, you really want a true WMLRF, like the Vortex or RAPTAR. The standard commercial handheld units are not recoil hardened, you'll likely kill it pretty quick.

Looking for mount with windage/elevation adjustments to co-align LRF with a spotting scope

The simple solution is to use an L bracket. Place a QD pad on the short leg for the spotter, then another on the long leg for the LRF. I set my Vector 21 up like this. The QD pads let you set the vertical alignment up with one device and the horizontal on the other. Stays pretty solid, I...

What is the best electronic target

There is nothing better. Make a sturdy, non-flexible frame, with precision measurements for the sensors. Calibrate it against your chrongraph. Between the velocities and precision of the group placement, truing is easy.

What is the best electronic target

I speak of the Extreme Long Range (XLR) class here at Gunsite. Yes, the target setup need to be precise, Mine are built on Aluminum frames with the mounts drilled on a milling machine, laser measured center-to-center. I've tested mine against a Labradar in Doppler mode downrange and they are...
