    If you can get the seat and basket off you might be able to try iron on patches to close up the holes. Not sure if they come in 5+" lengths, so you might need to look around for them. As long as you are careful with the iron heat you can probably get the patch to adhere before the material...

    Thanks @WhereNow&How - that's kid of what I figured. Lighter is nicer, but ITAR will make finding that NVD UL housing a major PITA. Not super worried about weight as I would just run the single PVS on my melon because that shit is way too expensive up here for me to splurge on two tubes.

    Thanks @WhereNow&How for the information. Not at all familiar with the Sure Shot Night Visions SNR (Signal Noise Reduction) filter so I'll do some looking into that. Being stranded on the wrong side of ITAR is no fun at all.
