    Custom Action - tikka footprint

Valid points but it sure seems like a lot of TT primarys and specials have issues as well. The only issue I've ever heard of with tikka triggers is that the single screw that holds them in place loosens up if people take them off and then dont torque them tight enough or use locktite.

    Threading lightweight barrel

Can you elaborate? Too small to go without adding a shoulder yes but that's why i said i'd have a shoulder added. 0.630" is slightly larger than 5/8 major thread diameter. The picture in my post you quoted seems to have a barrel diameter very close to thread major diameter.

    Threading lightweight barrel

It is the answer to lightweight barrels if a guy wants larger than 5/8 threads! To think, i used to consider elaborate fluting or a barrel cut down to nothing only to wrap some decorative carbon and glue around it at $200-$400 premium just to get lightweight with diameter for muzzle threads...

    Threading lightweight barrel

I’d thread it 5/8x24 and have a shoulder added.

Thoughts on the Aero Precision SOLUS ?

All this talk of spare triggers.. I thought m700 platform triggers were reliable?

Thoughts on the Aero Precision SOLUS ?

They make a steel one that’s lighter than the ti one it seems? Why would anyone want the ti one in that case?

Thoughts on the Aero Precision SOLUS ?

30.6 ounces still. They could have cut more out of the darn thing. I think a LP fuzion alpine port is 28.5 ounces so a couple ounces less and seemed like a little less aggressive cut. I'd still happily accept one as a gift! Hard to pay considerably more than a tikka donor these days though.

Help me out on a Ruger American Gen2 Build

Good choice sir. Bravo is a great practical shooting stock. Just trades off some benefits for being good for shooting vs good for carrying compared to a traditional sporter stock.

Heavy Sporter Barrel in Sendero Barrel Channel

Benchmark #4 (smaller than a bartlein #3) in a proof sendero contour inlet. Definitely no worries about barrel contact-

Heavy Sporter Barrel in Sendero Barrel Channel

Sporter steel barrels (not heavy sporter even) in a big assed barrel channel is kind of my default setup now. Why does it matter if there is a gap? It's funny world out there. All kinds of people buying chassis because they think they look cool. many result in large gaps in barrel channel...

    Daughters first deer rifle

6.5 creed would make most sense of the choices in OP. 6 Creed, 243, or 6 ARC would be more better though.

    KRG Echo Chassis

I love bravos. I’d happily trade one of my bravos for another rokstok though. Echo isn’t lighter enough to make me feel any different about it than the bravo.

Hornady is making knockoff/clone bullets (Aeromatch)

I know that the Aeromatch 140 is a 140 hybrid clone. I'm saying that the 140 BTHP that has been being used in loaded AAC 6.5 ammo and marked as a .580 G1 bc, is probably the existing hornady bthp that happens to have the same BC and not the new aeromatch bullet.

Hornady is making knockoff/clone bullets (Aeromatch)

I would agree since they are already cloning the 105 hybrid. I am a fan of 107s though. The 75g bthp isn't really .395 g1. Seems they weren't worried about correcting their existing inflated BCs when they got all serious about BCs with the intro of the ELD line. Apllied Ballistics says 0.348 G1...

Hornady is making knockoff/clone bullets (Aeromatch)

The only question i have is are there really shortages of the SMK bullets they are cloning? I'm not particularly interested in them but I feel like ive seen them available a lot. TMKs on the other hand.. lot harder to keep in stock.

Hornady is making knockoff/clone bullets (Aeromatch)

No need to be a smartass because you were too dense to read what was laid out clearly in front of you. If you’ve ever looked at a Berger hybrid and a Hornady HPBT you would know they don’t look the same. Their profiles are obviously different. So unless Hornady is using Bergers or JLKs for there...

Hornady is making knockoff/clone bullets (Aeromatch)

Except the 105 hybrid clone is probably an accurate bc. The bthp are not.
