    Custom drag model is the way to go but truing the BC for the distance your shooting is actually what the bullet is doing during flight vs making up a velocity number to coincide with your elevation adjustment.

    It's a 24" barrel so I'm hoping to try them and get 2700-2750. I have N570, N565, N568 and H1K to try, however I'm concerned once the weather gets cold that the SG will dip to 1.4 or less.

    Usually everyone's first choice for a magnum cartridge regardless of distance, but yes they perform exceptionally well at long range. Just very hard to come by.

    Also, I don't know how long you're waiting between shots, but that barrel has to be heating up quite a bit during a 15 rd group, burning that much powder, which will affect the ES.

    How many firings and what kind of brass? Are you annealing? Have you tried running a mandrel through the neck after sizing?

    In the very limited time I've spent with the 5-25 since it was delivered Wednesday, I'm not seeing anything less than what I expected. It does tunnel a bit and I don't have a 7-35 to compare it to side by side, however it was $1500.00 less than my 5-27 ZCO and appears to justify it's price tag.

    You need to decide how you want to set your neck tension, either with a bushing or a mandrel, but not both.     However, if you're set on running .002, I was using a custom Forster sizing die honed to .3055 and I found running a .306 mandrel after sizing, gave me better groups and ES.
