Thermal clip-on compatible options for Zeiss LRP S5 3-18x50

Alignment is going to be dependent on how you have the Zeiss mounted as well as your mounting option of your stock/chassis. Assuming everything is one long pic rail, typically 1.5" tall mounts are pretty close for NV/Thermal use.

    4 Facts that De-bunk the Trump-Russia Narrative

This is the only part of your post I take issue with. The corporate media HATES Trump, of course they won't give him any fair treatment... Also, I'm tapping in for when the haters post. We are in need of a good thread right now.

    Dead Air Keymo

I haven't had much chance to test it yet. I do have the new Nomax and I've installed the keymo but winter has kept me from confirming. I'm confident it will be just as accurate with the 338 as it has been with everything else to this point. ETA: I've tested at 100 yards off the bench and...

    Dead Air Keymo

Keymo is my favorite QD system and is absolutely repeatable. Of course it does come at a cost (money and weight). As mentioned above you can get repeatable results with direct thread and other attachment methods. I have found the Keymo to be the most supported and easiest to use of the QD...

Rifle Scopes Another “I want a new scope” thread

So….. Your use should drive the optic. What is your priority? Price, glass quality, turrets, or reticle options for example. Nothing inherently wrong with any of the optics you listed but at the end of the the day it’s YOUR optic. 1st focal plane scopes are really tough for hunting if you...

Geisselles new SPR barrel with special gas system

it must not be very good, they didn’t include “super” in the name like everything else they sell…🤪 Sorry for the derail, it’s very interesting concept hopefully it pans out.

Super weird issues on my .300 Norma Mag reloads

Currently I’m running 84.0 grains of N570 with 230 gr Sierra bullet in Norma brass with CCI 250 primers. (No hangfire issues with this load) The only hangfire with N570 was with the first starting load of probably 74-75 grains. I’m not sure what the case fill would be at that load. My current...

Super weird issues on my .300 Norma Mag reloads

What does your case fill look like? I ask because I tried reloading with Staball HD and experienced multiple hangfires. Case fill was fairly low. I’m currently running N570 as well and while working up to my current load I experienced one hangfire as well. Once I got to near max loads my SDs...

Sidearms & Scatterguns If you had $2000 to spend for a range pistol…

Just because nobody else threw it out there…. Don’t forget about the Walther offerings. The steel frame PDP is beautiful and the Q5 is still available.

    22 Creedmoor advice

You're going to get similar barrel life with similar performing cartridges like the 22 CM vs 22 GT. If you're looking for longer barrel life you are going to have to sacrifice performance. There are steps you can take like keeping the barrel cool while shooting strings of fire, lighter bullets...

    300 Norma Mag

I agree that 338 suppressors perform better for 300 NM loads. Suppressors are built to handle a certain amount of pressure and volume of propellant. It’s been my experience that the larger 30 caliber suppressors sound great up to a propellant charge of 70ish grains of powder. The 338 cans...

Burris XTR PRO 5.5-30x56 SCR2 vs Leupold MK5 7-35x56 MIL PR2 for ELR & PRS

I find the glass quality to be very similar. Honestly it seems like the same design (same coatings, same 6x erector, same manufacturing facility) with minor touches of difference, mostly in the turret design. I don't know if for a fact but it makes sense that they would have some components in...

Burris XTR PRO 5.5-30x56 SCR2 vs Leupold MK5 7-35x56 MIL PR2 for ELR & PRS

I’ve shot several PRS style matches with the XTR Pro with SCR2 reticle. Great scope for match shooting. All the features are geared towards it and it’s a great all around optic. I also own the Steiner and it is very similar. I would say I prefer the Steiner for field style shooting as the...

No love for the 300 WSM?

With Lapua now making 300 WSM brass, it is absolutely not the red headed stepchild. The F Class guys are the ones really pushing it if I’m not mistaken. In a long action you’ll be able to wring out as much performance as possible. It it will not keep up with the larger cartridges at ELR...

    Remage Prefit and Piercing Primers

I’ve heard this as well. I’ve also heard that it helps even with large rifle primers. Perhaps in the process headspace always gets checked as well? OP, it just occurred to me, but if I were buying a bolt replacement I would certainly look at Mack Brothers before dealing with PTG. Good luck...

    Remage Prefit and Piercing Primers

Sounds like you should have the bolt face bushed. Lots of guys had to do this with the multi caliber rifles when switching from 308 to 6.5 CM and also with 6 CM. LRI does good work.
