    Gunsmithing Impact 737R tennon print

Yes..... approximately .010" longer than the tennon if it's exactly .0940" to the shoulder...... I just finished one and set up at .948"HS so in this case it protrudes .008" past..... you have about .004" to play with between go and no go.

    6.5cm or 7mm

The 280AI would be a great option but while factory ammo is available it really shines when hand loading.... My reason for recommending the 7mm Mag to you was due to your statement .....you said primarily a hunting rifle...... if you had said primary target and an occasional elk inside 300yds...

    6.5cm or 7mm

If your talking elk on down I'd stay with a 7mm over anything 6.5, sure I've seen a successfully elk harvested with a 6.5 bullet from 6.5X284 but I've seen many more anchored solidly with 7mm's. I do use 6.5's (Creedmoor and Addiction) in everything else, works great for a deer and antelope...

    Gunsmithing 7mm wildcat questions

Given your going to have the reamer made all you need to decide is how much room you want to leave for throat erosion to chase he lands and what length will work in the magazine and how much jump you want the bullet to have......sounds complicated, it's really easy. 1. what is the max magazine...

    Barnes .264 127gr LRX

I run them for hunting in a 6.5 Creed..... usually very accurate. They like to jump, start at .050" off the lands and work back to find what works best..... they are very effective on deer sized game especially inside 600 yds. the BC is not as high as other options and they shed velocity...

Unfortunately I can't find the print...... I've looked to no avail. I do know it was a somewhat standard offered by Dave Manson, I guess I could call and ask if they have a record of the sale...... I'll give that a try today and report back.

PRS Talk Swaro EL vs SLC for matches

I've got all three, each has its place .... tripod mounted 15's are for spotting targets and most PRS/NRL match use..... 12's are for hunting and the 10's get used at CD spot in the clock matches like Steel Safari.

Going through my toolbox and can move these removable pilot Manson Reamers...... I bought both of these when some guys I know wanted to jump on the Respective bandwagons and they are now just taking up space. 6 Dasher reamer has cut 4-5 chambers and is throated for the 110 Sierras, .040"...

Accessories SOLD - Atlas 5H with ADM quick release

Thinning the herd of bipods that has been growing in my reloading room! Used very little, this is a great bipod for use in a heavy ELR type rifle..... I suspect if your looking for one of these you know the specs. Asking $400 cash and I'll pay the shipping, no trades..... we both win, you can...

Gunsmithing Appropriate freebore for barnes .264 127gr LRX

I shoot the 127LRX in a standard 6.5 CM spec reamer, I don't know the exact specs but know it's the SAMMI spec..... these bullets like to jump and I load them .050" off the lands and get subminute accuracy out to 600 yds...... they don't have the BC of many other options but for medium distances...

Gunsmithing Anybody cut the chamber down and re-chamber & Thread to get more barrel life?

Works great....I've done it many times both going back with the original chambering and or making AR barrels as you suggest. One of my favorite uses for old match barrels is to throw them in the lathe and turn pencil weight profiles on them and fit em up to make hunting rifles. This said, I do...

Gunsmithing Help with 6mm Creed (for hunting) reamer

sure, I've got both a .183" @ .110" and 0" FB bore with a throating reamer I can use to set up any bullet and length I want....... if your set on the VLD your going to want a shorter freebore, I'd say the one your looking at would work great. As for the 6 Creedmoor as a hunting rifle, it's...

Gunsmithing Help with 6mm Creed (for hunting) reamer

But comes with the same random performance on game..... Sure dead is dead but I'm tired of the claims and defense of their performance on game by the Berger fanboys..... sure they will shoot great on paper but we owe it to the game we hunt to use bonded core bullets that will reliably penetrate...
