    Sell everything towards AIAX MC?

I wish I went with the AXMC over the regular old AX. Now I have an AX in 308, 6XC, and 6.5X47 and an AWSM for the ELR stuff I hope to get going on shortly. Some problems are better to have than others though...

PRS Talk Are Point Races too expensive ?

Lowlight I like that a lot, makes a lot of sense. I envision new skills stages at my matches.

PRS Talk Are Point Races too expensive ?

Lowlight would you mind sharing the double sided barricade design? All of the matches up here in Canada are club style with the exception of Meaford and we are not beholden to any standard set of rules (although we largely follow the standard PRS rule book). We have some junior shooters, as...

What types of groups are good shooters getting with .308 winchester at 100 yards?

I am glad that many people here on the hide are owning up to the fact that they don't shoot .25 "all day long". I have my hero groups and in all honesty that is what goes up on IG but in reality between my AIs, and my customs if I posted every group I shot I would be a .75" shooter (and some...

That looks amazing. I keep on thinking of doing mine up but am not sure if I have the balls.

AI vs custom build worth it?

I love my AI and am a big AI fan boy. I wanted one since I have started shooting and now have an AX and an AWSM and an 700 223 trainer in an AX chassis. I think if you practice with anything you can make it work. Some of the features of the MPA seem pretty neat and make me jealous on occasion...

    6XC Loads

I use the 115 dtacs over 40.5 grains on H4350 and get 2,950 FPS in my AI AX barrel. No pressure signs or anything. It is a bit slower than I would like but getting up to 3,000 FPS really is not going to change anything. The DTACs are amazingly consistent as well. Guys are getting more speed...

Mausingfield - SwitchLug - Xray build advice

I too find the benefit of a the switch barrel set up to be oversold. I have an AI AX with 308, 6.5X47, and a 6XC barrel. The AI is probably one of the easiest (it not the easiest) systems to switch barrels on and I still do it rarely. The POI is pretty consistent on the same barrel after a few...

    2 Stage Triggers

I had a TRG, an anschutz, and a M700 with the CG Xtreme, all of them were awesome. I currently run an AI AX, AI AWSM, and a 700 with a Timney 2 Stage (not CE). I consider myself a 2-stage connoisseur. I have also messed around with a Cadex CDX 2 a little as well. I think the Timney is really...

    Barricade bag

I had some Griptech (sp??) material sewn onto my original game changer as well as some straps that operate with fastex buckles. I have the buckles sewn so I can attach it in a couple of different ways. The griptech is a really good addition and the straps are great sometimes and not great others.

    Es/Sd 33/10.5 Happy or no?

This is funny because this is exactly the direction the discussion in Canada went. Some guys advocating only looking at the targets and others going a different/combined direction (myself included). Actually, I was doing my final step of load development at distance (300M and 500M) which is...

    Es/Sd 33/10.5 Happy or no?

Up in Canuckistan (my homeland) a discussion of this nature took place and the thread pretty much blew up with theories, use of chronies, etc. I was out at the range on Friday and do some more testing and ran 40 or 45 rounds over the chrony (Labradar). I think my ES was 50 and my SD was 14 or...

    Ai aw338

I managed to play with it today after work. It looked like the previous owner never took the skins off (so I assumed he never got at the 1st stage adjustment screw). Seeing as I only had 2 screws left to adjust I added a couple of turns back on to both the trigger weight and sear engagement...

    Ai aw338

ITAR really sucks for us Canadians, we do have importers up here that will handle it but it will be $50 per side to do it and it will be stuck in customs hell for awhile as well.

I actually hail from the Great White North so getting things down to the service centre is quite the challenge. Any other tips?

    Ai aw338

I just managed to snag an AI AW338 (a whole kit and it is a beauty). However, the previous owner was clearly not a fan of 2 stage triggers and he made it a really creepy and light single stage - I don't know if it would pass a drop test. Any AI gurus out there to point me in the direction of a...

260 Remington in an AI AT at 1 mile...possible?

May I ask what the success rate is? The OP has a thread I responded to in a different section and we were talking about this. Mostly it was about the suitability of SA cartridges for ELR shooting. Are there lots of first round impacts, how many shots to get on, susceptibility to wind, etc...

    AIAT in 284 Winchester...now a 6.5x47 Lapua vs 260 Remington question?

Small primers are awesome. I have shot my 6.5X47 in a huge range of temperatures and never have a concern about ignition.

    AIAT in 284 Winchester...now a 6.5x47 Lapua vs 260 Remington question?

I have followed your posts about an ATMC and getting a 260 to a mile etc. I recently went down the same thought process as you and was trying to figure out how to push a heavy 7mm fast enough to rival 338 ballistics. I have an AX and in all honestly I don't think it can be done. A 7mm 08 AI...
