    Would a Remington 700 sps tactical in 223 be a good starter gun?

    I have one developed as a trainer to my 6 Dasher. It shoots 1/2 at 100 yards with my handloads. I do not regret purchasing it because it has a good barrel life and shoots well. I wanted a Tikka but got this one at 1/2 the cost. Do get rid of the stock.

    I bought one and strongly recommend getting one. It is worth it. Do get the battery pack, SD card and a base.

    I have the RCBS Collet puller and the only damage I see is from where the bullet comes out of the neck. No marks on the bullet from the puller.

    I either use the 140 ELD-M or 140 RDF. I could not get the 142 SMK to work or the 143 ELD-X.

    I have purchased a Annealz machine. Is it worth the investment, I have not tested yet to make that determination. From all that I have read, yes it is worth it.

    My .02 is the Armageddon Gear, I have used their and had no issues. All of the stuff I have purchased from them has been top notch. I have not tried the others.

    IMR 4451 vs H4350

    I have been impressed with 4451 so far. I have only been testing with Nosler 140 RDF and had good results. I have matches coming up, so I am going test more there. My sources of 4350 has dried up so I am looking for an alternative. I am wanting to try Reloader 16, but have not located any.

    No I have not, been using IMR4451 as an alternative to H4350. My sources have dried up of H4350. So far no issues with using it.

    I am going in a different direction, so I am selling 6x47 Lapua Forster Full Length Sizing Die (005265) and Redding Type S Bushing Full Sizing Die (77489). Asking $35 shipped for Forster and $60 shipped for Redding. No bushings come with the Redding.

    What caliber for a new custom bolt gun?

    I also recommend starting out with 6.5 Creedmoor. You can easily reload or get very good factory ammo for it. I was told the barrel life is around 2000 to 2500. Mine is currently at 1,200 and going strong.

    Insurance question.

    I have a separate policy for mine. Covers my pistols, rifles and scopes. If anything happens (lost, stolen, bad ammo) it is covered. This is for in and out of the home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
