Question about member regarding optics reviews
It's been a while since I've been here, but I finally got a nice rifle (SSG 69) and am in process of putting together funds for a NF ATACR FFP and recall that there was a member here who did nice reviews of optical products, a gentleman of Eastern European origin, IIRC. SSG 69 - stock options
Anyone have stock options for this now that McMillan no longer seems to offer anything? I saw some mentions of a guy in the UK, Staffordshire Synthetic Stocks, but haven't been able to get a response from them and was wondering what exports from the UK were going to be like. What gear should I buy to DIY mount a scope?
I've seen references to lapping (thus a kit) to avoid marring and deforming tubes and I know one needs a torque driver to get torque right to avoid deforming a tube as well, but what else would one recommend, like a boresight? I don't mind investing a couple hundred or so to get some decent...- OH_FAL

Rifle Scopes What scope would you recommend for someone who has never owned one before and wants to by something decent?
I've owned a lot of milsurp rifles, an AR & AK, a couple FALs and shoot them as a hobby, so I'm not a hunter and I'm getting old enough that presbyopia should hit any day now and my vision has peaked enough that iron sights are getting harder to use.
