    240 smk 300 win mag Remington700 5R

    I'm running a 240 SMK using 65.5 H4831SC , Fed215 primer with Hornady brass seated at 2.500 . That's aprox. 10thousanths off the rifling . I'm chronographing an avg of 2,606 FPS .     Remington 700

    I have the 5R 300WM Remington 700 . The stock trigger is horriffic to say the least , the trigger pull is so inconsistant sometimes I look to see if the saftey is on . Any ideas ?

    Ok I have tried several bullets of different weights and powder and so far H1000 with a 190 smk works well (needs fine tuning ). Runnin 79.0-79.2 gr H100 , FED215 MP seated at 3.440-3.490 . I shot out to 1000 yds with some 168 Hornady BTHP Match bullets with 71 & 73 gr IMR7828 . 73 gr did much better at that distance . 71 gr makes TIGHT groups at 100 but falls apart out there .     I am a novice compaired to most on here but will having a muzzle break installed effect the accuracy of the rifle ? I would rather deal with the recoil if need be .
