    Who uses their .308 tactical rifle for hunting?

    How many of you actually use your shorter tactical rifle (20" - 22" barrel), like a Rock, hunting in the field? Do you find it too heavy? I'm thinking for wild pig, deer, elk, ect?     Steyr SSG 69 PI

    I'm sure this has been covered before but I'm off to dinner and some threads are usually old. Anyone own one of these? I like the iron sight option if this is versatile enough to use as a hunting rifle too. Thoughts and opinions?
