    Hunting & Fishing Hunting Head Shots

    I saw the pig ear shots on the SH photo gallery. Made me want to start a new thread. This was shot from +/- 100 yrds wit a 300win mag. 165 gr noz ballistic tip. My friend said all he saw was a red puff of mist.

    Gunsmithing Rem 5R Barrel Contour

    Can anyone tell me the contour of the barrel that comes in a Rem 5R stock. The only thing I can find calls the contour a Varmint contour. I am trying to determin if a "sendero" contour (also refered to by Shilen as a Remington varmint) is the same contour that comes in the stock.

    .338 LM load data

    I just picked up a .338 LM. It came with some 300 gr Sierra MK. This is the bullet the gun was barreled to run. it has a 1 in 10 heart. I looked in the books that I have and I can only find load data for up to 250 gr. Any idea where I can look to get heavy bullet info?

    Primers for 300 win mag

    I am out of Primers for my hunting rifle. Looking around I could not find any avaulable other than Rem 9 1/2. I was using Federal, until they got lost in my recent move, and was pleased with my the load I had developed. Will there be a difference in the performance using Remington 9 1/2?
