    trimmer chatter why???

    i got a NEW redding case trimmer with micrometer, ok i know the .308 brass is supposed to be around 2.005- 2.010 my brass is once fired, mic reading i'm gettin before trim is like 2.024 when i get it to about 2.017 it won't cut an chatters bad why is this and is this a bad length for dpms 308
