    Remington SPS Tactical or Howa 1500

    Howa is about $25 cheaper, so price is a wash. Both in .223 with 20 inch barrel and come with the Hogue stock. Remington is 1:9 twist, Howa is 1:12. This will be for paper punching and shooting some coyotes. Shots are 200 yards max. Does one of these guns have anything over the other...

    .223 for newbie

    I'm trying to decide on a new rifle to use at the range and to whack some coyotes. I like the looks of a 20 inch heavy barrel. I am considering the remington 700 sps tactical or the Howa 1500. Any opinions on these or other suggestions???
