AR Load Development - Krieger DCM 20"

Hey guys, I'm preparing to start with OCW. But I'm trying to pick the powder and bullet. For powders, I have Hodgdon H335, Varget and Benchmark to choose from. For bullets, I have SMK 77 gr. HPBT and Hornady 68 gr HPBT to choose from. Before I start OCW testing, which powder and bullet...

Range Report Results using Casio Riseman

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a "weekend and yard work watch" since my TAG is getting a little beat up... and I was looking at a basic Casio G Shock or a Casio Riseman that has Baro, Alt, Temp readings. I was wondering if any of you have used data from this watch with a Shooter app...

    Need help... Donut?

I'm helping a friend load up some 270 Win and if I run the ram all the way up to crimp then the necks are crushed (wrinkled) and the shoulders have a donut. What am I doing wrong or is this RCBS die bad? Thanks in advance.

SPS Tactical + Huge Chamber = Need Longer Bullet!

The chamber is HUGE on my SPS tactical. I guess the attorneys got involved before my production run and decided to make a chamber so f'ing big that it would be damn near impossible for someone to make a hand load to reach the lands... My current hand load using SMK 175s has a .060" jump and...

Gunsmithing Modifying Rem 700 SPS Tac Action, Alpha Type 2 Mag

    Varget weight for SPS Tactical

Guys, I'm running a SPS Tactical in .308 and reloading with 175 Sierra Match Kings and Varget powder. I'd like to know what powder weight would be a good starting point, and what those of you with the same rifle found to be the best powder weight for accuracy. Thanks!

    Uniflow + Varget = Issue??

I followed the instructions for the Uniflow (RCBS) to throw a pound to help "smooth it out." But the entire time I was throwing powder I would sometimes have to rotate the handle many times before it would rotate all the way up and dispense the powder... It was like the powder is getting stuck...

Neck Bushing Size - RCBS Gold Medal Die

First off, I'm attempting to reload my once fired Southwest Ammo Winchester .308 brass. If I follow the RCBS directions for choosing neck bushing I'm confused. Here's why: 1. An unfired SW ammo cartridge measures .334", subtract .002"-.003" = .332"-.331" 2. A fired brass has a neck thickness...

    Precision Mic Question

I purchased the RCBS Precision Mic and have a few questions: 1. I took (5) fired cases and measured them. They range from 0 to +.25. Do I take an average of them all to determine how far out of spec my chamber is? 2. If I measure an unfired Lapua case (which I plan to use for reloading) it...
