I was shooting last night and all of the sudden i couldn't chamber a factory round. pulled the barrel and this is what i have. cleaned the piss out of it and still the same has anyone experienced this?

is there enough metal to make a 700 barrel work on a model 12?

I picked up my barrel tonight from sss. i was wondering if i could use a sized case as a headspace gauge? Will this work or should i quit being a cheap skate and just buy the gauges.

I was wondering if there was anyone in northwestern Ohio that had a t-4 or a t-2 that i could maybe meet up and look at.

Ok so here is what i plan to do i have 2 differnt paths i can take, 1) Savage stevens rebarrel and stockade stock. 2) Savage 12 fv and restock. I want a heavy barrel and a-5 pattern stock,also i forgot to mention it is going to be chambered in .204 Ruger. Feedback is apreicated!

Bought this rifle from Ridge a week ago, and all i can say is that i love it. -Mcmillian A 3-5 stock -Rock 1:10 twist barrel -.300 Win Mag -Badger bolt knob -Leopold mark 4 bases -just have a cheap centerpoint scope on there atm it holds up great and the adjustments are crisp, would suggest one...

i am going to be buying a savage 12 fvc in .204 and then buying a seprate .22-250 8 twist barrel and bolt head. what do you guys think about this plan, ill most likley be puting the super sniper on this rifle.

I am fairly new to long range target shooting but i am getting better. I am looking for a Remington 700 chambered in .204 ruger anyone know which one is best im looking at the VTR atm or the SPS varmint.
