    Rem Milspec 5r and Mcmillan-----HELP!

    So I get asked a ? Would a Rem 5r barreled action fit into my Mcmillan A5 that is cut for a Hart Heavy BC? Or would the barrel channel gap be too big between the stock and barrel? Help, I dont have the barreled action to try to fit it, I only have the spare stock.

    I bought a 13.7" carbine lenght gas barrel to cut down for my PDW project. I am wanting a 7.5" barrel, is it going to be possible to cut right on the gas holeand then thread and crown. Keeping the barrel between the 7.25-7.5" length?

    1/8 or 1/9 twist .308

    So I had heard some scuttlebutt regarding 1/8 or 1/9 twist for the .308, the fastest I have heard of stablizing a 175gr HPBT is 1/10. Could this be possible in say a 16" barrel without over twisting and desheaving the round? Or using prgressive twist? What say the hide?
