Shoulder recoil pad recommendation?
Need a shoulder-worn recoil pad that works for prone position using a traditional wood-stocked M1A (with metal buttplate). A recoil-reducing buttpad is not a preferred option. Any recommendations? It's for my daughter. She's 6' 2", 190 lb..- jimbowe

Why don't military and law use stainless actions?
They generally don't, do they? Is it just because of the metal properties in extreme cold and a relatively small price difference? Do they parkerize and/or Dura/Cera/moly coat the carbon steel receivers inside and out to get more or less equivalent rustproofing (M24 and M40, for instance)...- jimbowe
