Gunsmithing First build done!
Rem 700 LA, trued up, threads recut to 1.0725-16. Shilen 1:10 twist barrel chambered in 30-06, 24" long. Threaded for an AAC suppressor mount brake. B&C A2 stock. APA DBM. PTG .250" recoil lug. Gunsmithing Who has bottom metal?
I'm looking for some kind of DBM bottom metal for a rem700 long action, and it seems like the entire world is out of stock. There's plenty of short action to go around, but long action bottom metal is made of unicorn meat or something... Anyone know of a place that might have some in stock?- imcmahon

Gunsmithing hitch in my bolt giddyup
I've heard of this happening before... what causes it? Should I just stone the burr off to try to smooth it out some? Or should I do something drastic and try to weld it up a little bit and restore the cam profile?- imcmahon

Rifle Scopes cost for new reticle/knobs on a leupold
I've heard that you can send scopes to leupold and/or custom reticle companies and get the reticle and the knobs changed out... what does that typically cost? I have a 8.5-25x VX3 with the varmint reticle and 1/4 moa knobs... if I wanted to have it modified to be mil-dot and tactical 0.1 mil...- imcmahon

I have a handful of things that I want to do... I have a couple of ARs in 300BLK plus a 762SDN6 for them, and I really enjoy those, but I want to see how it does in a bolt gun.
