    advantage/disadvantage of a a1 upper?

    the a1 style upper does not seem to be popular. is there and advantage or a disadvantage to this style? the obvious to me is it puts the scope up higher. seems like that would keep the front sight below the line of sight. is the carry handle a solid place to mount a quality scope? i wont be...
