Model 700 4" COAL magazine?
Is it possible to put together a rifle that feeds 4" COAL from a magazine in a Remington 700 action? If not, what action can I use? Anybody shooting Berger 300gr OTM in 338 RUM?
I'm trying to get a heads up on seating depth before my bullets arrive. Also, anyone shooting these with Retumbo and a 26" barrel? Trying to find a good baseline to work from for accuracy in my rifle.- Curmudgeon5462

Rifle Scopes SWFA SS 20x fixed or Millet LRS-1?
Thoughts? I'm replacing a failed Leatherwood uni-dial. I loved the no math mil feature and elevation flags, but apparently the .338 RUM is to much for it. My brother is using the SWFA 10x fixed on a .308, but I like having a variable scope. Is the Millett worth it?- Curmudgeon5462

Rifle Scopes Leatherwood UNI-Dial warning!!!
I was somewhat pleased with my 7-30x50 Leatherwood uni-dial until today. It would probably be fine for 7mm mag or lower, but my .338 rum sheared the elevation knob off... So I'm on about the 3rd-5th cycle with some .338 RUM brass (Remington brand) and using Winchester primers.
