    M40 barrel length ?

    In the early stages of doing a clone build of late 60's M40 rifle. I have found references that call out barrel length at 24 inches. My question, Is that measurement from recoil lug to the muzzle or end of the treads to the muzzle??

    Finding a rifle builder

    Gunsmithing hard to clean barrel

    I have a rem700p(26 inch 1:12) in 308. It shoots about 3/4 moa with occasional 1/2 moa groups with hand loads. The barrel is a PITA to clean. I was wandering about trying TUBB's Final Finish.
