    Rifle Scopes Vortex

    I just bought a vortex 6.5-20x50 it is BDC not mil dot, Did I just FUBAR big time or can I make this work on my AR 308 , Want it for hunting and Target shooting out to 600 - 800 yd range. I should still be able to use elevation knobs to range it right?

    Does anyone have an opinion of this rifle, Good or bad would like to learn all I can about it before I purchase it.
