308win Bartlein 5R vs Krieger 4 Groove Accuracy Testing

Lurking in the shadows reading this thread... :) I would have bet the velocity would clearly show one barrel is faster vs the other barrel (no guess as to which it would have been) but the fact for the same charge weight, they are almost identical is very eye opening for me. And thanks for all...

    LRB Lowers

Used two, one for a pistol build and one for a rifle, all parts fit great, no rattle, no misaligned holes, solid with the uppers I have tried with them. Best part is they are 20 minutes away from my office and give a great discount to LE!!!

    Rifle Scopes ADM mounts

For QD mounts, there are none better. I have two scopes in ADM mounts and a mount for my bipod. All are top notch, easy to adjust without tools (Huge selling point for me) and they dont chew up the underside of the rails (main reason I sold off all my larue stuff). The contact surface of the...

Recommendations for a Removable Muzzle Brake

I have used the VAIS brakes for some time now and they are effective. Two nice features, they dont have to be timed, and they don't have the common "muzzle brake concussion" for bystanders like other brakes do. If you plan to put it on and take it off a lot, the brake can rotate slightly after a...

Gunsmithing alternative to trustrip for prepping barrel

I have used gunscrubber with pretty good success with several different spray on finishes. Spray it from one end to the other and everything will run off, let it air dry, it evaporates pretty quick.

    Gunsmithing ER Shaw 10/22 Barrel

22LR is normally very soft lead bullets, even when copper jacketed they are still pretty soft. Because of the soft compound, they grip the lands and groves and conform very well with minimal cuts in the barrel.

Gunsmithing Cutting Out Barrel Throat Erosion Breech End

I set back a factory varmint barrel that was a good shooter but with the lighter bullets had a long jump to the lands. I had it set back and the chamber recut to my specific target load and it became a great shooter, well under 3/4MOA with my load. The cost was under $200 and I got a much more...

Federal small rifle primer slam fires

At the range a couple days ago the other instructors got into a conversation about this thread. We had some american eagle 55gr fmj rounds and a LWRC rifle with a standard firing pin. Also had my armalite AR-10T (which has a spring on the FP) and some federal GMM 168gr. We loaded two rounds into...

    Armalite AR-10T---16"bbl???

Re: Armalite AR-10T---16"bbl??? even supressed you wont want to fire too many rounds from a short barreled AR. Buy a good set of peltor electronic muffs or the in ear type that look like hearing aids. They are cheaper then the hearing aids you will need a few years from now if you don't...
