Pic Rail vs Arca Swiss for Bipod

Thank you, all. This is very good to know. I think I may move to an all Arca system. I would have figured that an Arca bipod might fail if used as a barricade stop, for example.

Pic Rail vs Arca Swiss for Bipod

I am curious if anyone who runs their bipods on Arca Swiss Rails have had any issues with them coming loose or coming off during competition? I know that the quality of the Arca Swiss mount (and the quality of the rail) will certainly make a difference, but I am trying to gauge people's actual...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Glocks Work. Period. End of Story.

I shot a Glock in competition for a long time. I made Master class in USPSA with one and also won several GSSF divisions and got Glocks from those wins. The Glock is a miracle of engineering. Such a simple design. Very reliable. Very easy to work on. So many aftermarket parts. But as I...

Rifle Scopes Spuhr 4001 mount....compatible with S&B 5-25x PM II

The title says it all. I have an extra Spuhr 4001 mount. I was considering getting an S&B 5-25x PM II since a friend is offering one for sale at a reasonable price. Will these two mate or the center space on the Spuhr too small for the S & B with its multi turret system?

Under rail Barricade stops, Cow Gate Systems.

I am relatively new to Precision Rifle. I have noticed that the MPA Chassis has an Arca Rail with mounting holes on the bottom of the rail allow you to attach a lot of accessories. The ability to use a bipod/tripod on the length of ARCA rail is clearly very valuable. My question is more on...

    Curtis Custom Actions (Vector)

Just put myself on the list for this action. Do those who run them see any loosening of those screws? Do you routinely re-torque the screws? How has accuracy been?

What magazines for the Defiance Deviant?

I was looking on Defiance's Website and liked the Deviant Tactical action. My question for your Deviant Tactical owners is.....what type of magazine does it run? The only mention of magazines on the website is this: "Medium length (Rem. SA) offered with AW magazine cut" From the wording of...

Rifle Scopes Most forgiving eyebox for PRS

Yes--he is a HUGE trigger slapper. :) But he is not going to run a DAO trigger. The late Jeff Cooper would agree with me. :)

Rifle Scopes Most forgiving eyebox for PRS

I hear you, to a point. First, as a Master Class USPSA Shooter, I can tell you that trigger reset DOES matter. If you don't believe me, shoot a Bill Drill with a Sig DAO pistol and a 1911 and come back and tell me what you were faster and more accurate with. When I shot Production, I noticed...

Rifle Scopes Most forgiving eyebox for PRS

If one takes this "What the Pros Use" list of rifle scopes on the Precision Rifle Blog as their starting point..... https://precisionrifleblog.com/2018/12/21/best-scope/ Which scope has the most forgiving eye box? For those who have multiple scopes and can compare them.... perhaps do a...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Hiking With A Pistol

90%+ of the population lives in a "may issue" area which is effectively a "no issue zone" unless you are politically connected. Yes--if you live in a rural county it is "may issue" and they actually do issue, but not around the major cities.

I need some experienced .45 acp loader advice

You have too many intended purposes for this round. Competition / range ammo should be 167 to 172 power factor (velocity * bullet weight). This gets you just over the minimums for USPSA and IDPA, saves a lot of wear and tear on your gun, and allows you to run lighter springs which helps...

You might check on the prices of Criterion barrels. Not sure if they make this caliber, but they probably do.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns CZ75 SP01 Thoughts?

A follow up question--what grips do you guys like on your CZs? I was thinking of getting a pair of the most aggressive VZs, but I head these can be too aggressive. Anyone with VZ experience?

    Suppressors New to suppressors

Being from California, suppressors are verboten for us. Subscribing to this thread to see what people have to say. Note to threadjack, but can you shoot suppressed .223 with no hearing protection or is hearing protection still required?
