I'm having a *really* frustrating issue pairing my Garmin Tactix Delta AB and Sig Kilo 2400 BDX.
When I am in the AB screen on the watch and range a target, the range will update on the watch exactly once.
If I range anything again, there will be no further updates, no matter how many times I...
My Trijicon accupoint TR22 (2.5-10 x 56) has a bell OD of 65mm (=2.559"). As long as your optic mount is at least 1.28" from top of rail to centerline, it will work (assuming the Trijicon of which you speak has the same bell OD). Which AD mount are you looking at? The Recon model shows...
Probably true. Though I found quite a few options that are very low: seekins/ vortex at 0.92, Farrell at 0.97, APA at 0.856 or 0.95, and ARCM10 at 0.94. With the 34mm main tube,
I calculate that these rings have only 6.37, 7.64, 4.75/ 7.13, 6.88 mm of clearance (respectively) between the top...
Many scope manufacturers include diagrams of the exact scope dimensions, and this is very useful information in determining appropriate mounting options.
However, one dimension that is rarely included in these diagrams is the exact protrusion of the turret housing below the main tube. In some...
I placed my order with Optics Planet on May 5, 2016. Apparently I am high on their list for the MOA version, and they anticipate they will receive stock in July. Perhaps lead times have improved, but I'm looking at over 14 months from order to delivery. I see them often enough here in the PX...
Many thanks to all for the feedback and discussion here!
Just as a personal response to:
The MR5 is a 0.5-mil based reticle, so only has hash-marks in 0.5 mil increments.
Since I almost always hold for wind, I much prefer having very precise windage holds,
especially since in a hunting...
Thank you Threadcutter308 and canezach for your feedback and thoughts on reticle choice. Just to clarify, I only very rarely dial windage (preferring to hold), but always dial elevation.
Unless I am missing something, the X-mas tree style reticles (like MR4) are useful primarily for situations...
After many months of research I have decided to equip my 7mm rem mag precision hunting rifle with a Minox ZP5 5-25. I'm torn between the MR2 and MR4 reticles (see link).
Both look like great designs. I hunt primarily in Arizona, mostly deer and Elk, so longer range shots are pretty common. Of...
Ah, no worries, it was just a small detail that I noticed. If you knew half of the foolish things I've done, you'd be embarrassed *for me*! Thanks for providing all this info in one place, I know I appreciate it, and have enjoyed reading your thorough and often enlightening reviews on this site.
I am curious where you are getting this data on the Minox. Their website lists FOV @ 5 power as 7.6 m at 100m, or 22.8 ft at 100 yds, but you give the value of 24.9 ft at 100 yds. Did you measure the FOV on a sample ZP5 yourself, or do you have another source of data, or...? FWIW, a Minox...
I decided it was about time to join the forum, as I've already benefitted a great deal from many informative threads here. I am relatively new to hunting/ shooting, though I have always
loved the outdoors. I'm looking forward to learning more here on the Hide!
