.338 Norma Magnum & Norma Magnum Imp. Load Data

Anybody running 250 Bergers? I’ve got imr 7828ssc which seems like it ought to fit this case pretty well, especially with the 250’s. Really wish Berger had about a 275gr pill….

Badger EFR Installation and pulsar krypton

So according to the information I’ve found, the common consensus is that the closer the better for the clip on device. I mounted my EFR so that the rail going rearward towards the scope has about a .8” gap.(end of rail to scope objective) Just thought I’d post for anyone else looking for this info.

Badger EFR Installation and pulsar krypton

Ya, mine isn’t even quite that far. It’s not a huge gap, about 2-2.5”, with the rail backwards. But I would really hate to Devon the EFR in, and then have a $5,500 unit that was incompatible. Just a lot of $$, and question marks…. The only pictures I’ve seen of the rail mount are on optics...

Badger EFR Installation and pulsar krypton

Hi guys, for some reason I didn’t have gunsmithing as an option to post this in, so I apologize for it being in the wrong place. Anyway, I’m installing a badger EFR in a McMillan A5. The badger instructions just state to keep it a 1/4” or more from the end of the stock, nothing more. The scope...

    338 Norma brass

I should note, the two deals I’m looking at are Lapua brass for $285 per 100, and Peterson for $592 per $250. So Lapua is about $2.85 a round vs Peterson at $2.37. Peterson seems like a fantastic deal if they’d hold up about as good as the Lapua.

    338 Norma brass

Dave62677, That’s not bad at all. Do u anneal? And how hot of load are you pushing? I’d love to make 2750 from a 24” barrel, but that might just be too much pressure. Might need a 26” and even settle for 2700 then. With the price of .590” brass, I sure don’t want to be burning through it. Also...

    338 Norma brass

Thanks steel head. Ya seems like the right case capacity for rl 26. I’m just afraid to use it, might never find it again. What barrel length do you like?

    338 Norma brass

Hi guys, wanting some opinions on your 338 Norma brass. I’m building a 338 Norma soon, or as soon as I get my 3 phase converter/transformer wired in. Looking at brass options, brands lapua, Peterson,(actually the cheapest I think) Norma, and sig. I read great things about Peterson brass, but I...

    Steiner m5 vs m7

Ok that’s interesting to me. I would have to say that both my Steiners are very good in regards to CA. The Minox is perhaps slightly better, but not a lot. So my understanding would be color fringing and distortion along finer lines. No gripes from me whatsoever in that regard, though I’m...

    Steiner m5 vs m7

So I got my Steiner yesterday. My m7xi 4-28 I ordered ended up being a M5xi 5-25…. Did have the msr ii reticle though. Disappointed, but maybe it’s for the best. The guy sent me a free MDT mount for my trouble, so still a good deal IMO. As for comparison to my other m5xi, this Steiner glass has...

    Steiner m5 vs m7

Got a m7xi 4-28 msr 2 coyote brown off eBay for $2015. Shipped today. Excited to see what she looks like. Seemed like a good deal. It has a blemish in the tan coating. Does steiner use cerakote? That’s what it looks like to me. Hardly noticeable without rings, and it’ll never bother me. I do...

    Steiner m5 vs m7

Needless to say, my steiner fanboy status is unchanged. Just curious if some of these issues will be solved down the road, and maybe the issues are just on earlier production runs?

    Steiner m5 vs m7

Its really interesting to me how much variance Steiner seems to have with CA through all their scopes. Although I have heard very few disappointing reports on the M series(especially the m5) but they are there. As far as the T series go’s it seems to be the opposite, with mostly disappointed...

    Steiner m5 vs m7

Hi Friday, thanks for the reply. I agree with all that u said. Forgot to add my nightforce nxs 3-15 f1 to that list. Totally agree with u. I like the smaller form factor of the m7 2.9-20, but I can actually get the 4-28 a little cheaper…. The m5 is about $300 cheaper than the M7 4-28….. nothing...

    Steiner m5 vs m7

Hi, just looking for some comparison opinions on these optics. DVOR often has Steiners listed at extremely competitive prices, which in my opinion can’t be beat for the price. I have an m5xi 5-25 msr2 and it’s my favorite optic. (Other optics to include Steiner military 4-16, Minox ZP5, leupy...
