    At what max range do you think this rifle could ring the steel reliably?

    Keep the rifle as it is. It looks great. Load up some 185gr berger long range boat tails and it will reach out past 1000.

    Long Action 308 v.s 300 WSM MAGAZINE?

    I had the same problem. I took my dremel tool and took out the left rib on the mag. No more problems with sticking rounds and it gives me a visual of round in the mag. It works great now.

    ""Best"" "other" caliber for .308 AT rifle?

    I will be building a 6mm creedmore. If you tone down the speed to say 2950 fps the barrel life great increases to around 2500-3000. Brass is available from Lapua and it will reach out to 1200.
