Chop off both hands! Will not steal again! The end! If caught again...death! Glad you have it back. More than likely he will get a hand slap and don't do that....
Ok I am wanting to do a little of both. I would say manly paper puncher. And the occasion of a coyote hunt I could always adjust dope to 200 "zero" or hold over too.
I am going to use this 223 as a practice for my father in law 338 and .50. Much cheaper and would like to improve as a shooter too.
Ok so I have always zeroed my hunting rifles at 200 but they are fixed scopes.
I have a 223 that will have a Vortex Viper Hs 4-16 on. I read over the book that came with it. But what zero point do I need to do 100 or 200? This is my first long range so don't laugh! Lol
Wow thanks. So much useful info here. I believe it is 1in9 twist. I want to use this and to become a better shooter and play with long range. I have a Vortex hst 4-16x44 mrad that has a max of 21 mil adj. (I know this isn't the best scope but a decent starter) I hope at least. Is a scope base a...
I would like to try and tinker with 600 yards on the bench messing around. If I can. At what point do I "have" to have a 20 Moa base for the 223? (I understand all cases are different). But what is the norm....
have a Savage 112. 223 flat rear. Need a new scope base for my Vortex scope 4-16 Viper HS. Do I need to get 20 Moa? And who would be a decent mount without breaking the bank. This is going to be a training wheel gun.

Have rear rest on the list. Will look into black hill. I mainly just bought decent ammo. My FIL has a WHOLE reload set (Dillon set) sitting in boxes until this fall when it cools off in the shed (FL heat). So I will be having to learn some hand load combos.
I want the ability to shoot past 200. So I will stay with heavier then. And with my hunting rifles ( 243 and 270) I shoot Hornady. Reason why I picked these as my local gun store had them.
Ok I have a 223 savage fluted model 112 gun (I think 1 in 9). No glass (working on that now)
I am a noob. dabbling in this whole long range stuff. Not Needing the BEST or most expensive stuff or try to shoot F class or anything. Just want to make sure that what I am doing I am getting some...
So I have always been wanting to shoot long range. Well my father in law showed up with several rifles to do so. .50 cal, 338 lapua and a 223 bull barrel.
So for now I have a savage 223 (I think model 112?) bull barrel that I am wanting to get a decent scope for to shoot 600 yards or so. I am...
