    Ok I'm going to go ahead and clean it. As for the break in debate there is a thread on here that convinced me that the shoot clean shoot clean shoot clean is not necessarily the way to go. I'm going to give it that first clean and then put a couple mags through it.

    Thanks for the info. I probably won't be handloading for awhile. I guess I should have specified that I will be buying factory ammo so suggestions on 150 168 or other grains is what I'm asking about as well as reliable brands for accuracy.

    I just bought a tikka t3 lite stainless .308 and was wondering what type of rounds I should buy. A little background info. This is my first rifle and will probably be shooting under 300 yards. I have also bought a leupold x1 3x9 optic. Any suggestions on grain and brand would be appreciated.
