as in all businesses the incumbent becomes lazy and doesnt see the need to reinvent itself when the cash is flowing, not until they are surprised. They likely had this on their shelves but due to lack of competitors did nothing to advance it then Garmin happened and they seen their sales tank.
have you see or operated the 1727? i have had one as a hunting rifle and they are one of the most accurate reliable actions and faster than a standard bolt action. Am not a biathlon shooter but run the 1727 faster than any other bolt out there. I put in my order for both with ansschutzs but...
this was in a 12" with can. Was getting ready for a deer hunt and thought the labradar was out of whack it was terrible. Accuracy wasnt great. I reloaded subs and i was was getting way better performance and groups out of the subs. Defintely a round to reload given the crappy quality of Gorilla
Most dies are 7/8 but if you are into warner dies (high precision) they are 1 1/4 and the new Area 419 dies are 1 1/4. The 1 1/4 dies use inserts so using 1 die body you can have different calibers of inserts, whereas 7/8 " dies are typically 1 caliber per die.
