    **6 Creedmoor**

Well, you guys are a wet blanket. LOLZ I guess I should have mentioned that I'm sitting on 16 pounds of H1000 and over the years have realized that magnums aren't as fun as they look. I recently got bit by the 6.5cm bug which made magnums look even less fun. So I figured if I liked 6.5 cm...

    **6 Creedmoor**

Reading through Hodgdon's manual indicates that H1000 is a good powder for several bullets for 6 Creedmoor. How common is it? Is the go to powder H4350 here, as well? For those who have used H1000, did you also use a magnum primer? Thanks and God bless America

    Accurate 4350 vs. H 4350

I've seen a few things from 4 or five years ago on this, but the latest Hodgdon burn chart has these two very close together H at 133 and A at 135. I only ask the question because A4350 is significantly cheaper than H4350 right now. Anyone use A4350 lately and how did it compare to H4350...

    Retro-ish build parts list comments?

Matt doesn't know about this project yet, and he will likely have some good advice. For this next one, there may be a Foundation in it. I'm sentimental for this rifle. The first rifle I had was a 700 in .308. Put it in the HS precision and stuck the Leupold Mk 4 with MOA turrets and mil...

    Retro-ish build parts list comments?

Build exactly what you will be happy with. If it points and shoots well you will be more likely to hang on to it. FWIW I have a short action build exactly like you described and I will likely jettison the HS precision and the 308 bbl for McMillan game warden and CRB 6.5 bbl

    Light bullets in 6.5 creedmoor

How have the 140 class projectiles worked for you with IMR 4895? Or IMR 4451, Superformance, or H414? I have all these already, and Hodgden says they do well with the lighter fodder. Now if the 140's, or 130's, work with IMR 4895, this day's getting better. Also, I only have about 3# of...

    Light bullets in 6.5 creedmoor

is anyone using "lighter" projectiles in their 6.5 CM bolt guns? I'm looking at 95gr v-max and maybe some of the 100's from Hornady for coyotes at 500 and closer. I've got a few pounds of IMR 4895 and the Hodgden load data indicates that it's a good powder for lighter projectiles. On a...

    What am I doing wrong?

6.5 cm is definitely on the menu, but in a bolt gun. Tried it in a gasser and it didn't impress me. It's not a large frame issue, my .308 OBR is a 1/2 moa rifle out to 850 - for three shots. A lot of three shot groups on that one. Thanks all for the replies

    What am I doing wrong?

What you said about shooting position changing is something i hadn't thought about. Kind of like a thread i read on here a few years back about zeroing. If I can find it, I'll link. Reminiscent of the Kraft drill but not identical.

    What am I doing wrong?

Update: Been away from home for a few days but before I left I shot two five round groups at 500. One with some MK262 and another with some Freedom Munitions 69 grain stuff. The 262 grouped at just over 1 moa - 5 and a 1//4 and the FM was about 5 5/8. The right drift was there, but not as...

    What am I doing wrong?

Could be. I tried a ten-shot group last weekend. MOA ish at 300. Some days I'm on my game and some not. I'm going to repeat the drill this weekend with some other varieties and see if anything stands out. Besides poor marksmanship, that is. Thanks for the reply.
