It depends on why youre competing in the first place. I personally use PRS and USPSA to train with the weapons I have and refuse to be one of those jersey-boy gamers with a 30lb 6 Dasher or spend 8k on a 2011 that wont run unless its *pristine*. If you want to play the game and thats whats fun...

I went to the range today and again made it through a mag or two before it started not going into battery. Took it down, scrubbed and lubed everything and put it back together. Runs like a champ now.

I will say that if you envision this as a "duty" gun then just save and go with a Staccato. There is some break-in with these and in my mind if I have to fiddlefuck the gun to get it to work itll just be a range toy until its proven otherwise.

It feels bigger than my G19 but only sleightly. Feels a little "rounder" than a Glock if that makes sense, I like it a lot compared to my 1911.

I was going to do a 6BR for my AI-AT but my smith talked me into the GT. Will be doing mostly 600yd F-Class and maybe try an NRL Hunter or field match. Initially wanted a BR just because I wanted a 6mm with decent barrel life but the extra velocity will help me hedge my wind calls.

I got mine a few weeks ago and love it. Especially useful when a few buddies need MV and now I dont have to spend an hour strapping and re-strapping it on ppls rifles. Can also do load development without worrying about the Magnetospeed changing my POI.

Its funny you say that, my barrel HATES hornady 173gr match but shoots GMM 3/4 or better and it shoots one-hole with my 175 SMK handloads from my old Ruger American. I wasnt pleased when I found put their factory barrels were 1:12...

Its still a good rifle, .308 that I can drag to hell and back. If it cant run a gamer cartridge then nbd. 🤷‍♂️ Just figured Id ask before I dumped a bunch of money into it.
