    Thanks for the help guys.. 200ish light taps and some ugga dugga got these things out. You can see the twist in the Allen key. Forward controls plate will be purchased tonight. Is there such a thing as 6-40 torx or Phillips screws? This plate might get used on another pistol

    They’re not stripped. Optic is on a C+H plate. Still have good bite with the Allen key, they just won’t budge. I’ll try some heat with the solder pen first. If that doesn’t work, I’ll just take it somewhere. I’d like to get some torx screws to replace these stupid Allen heads.

    Time to change the batteries and these little screws are being stubborn. Was thinking about applying some heat with a solder iron or throwing the in deep freeze for a bit but didn’t want to damage any electronics. Thanks in advance for any help.

    If you have decent health insurance, you can usually get high end ear protection mostly covered. I think I paid for two office visits and about $200 for SoundGear.. They don't have the exact model I have, but they were similar in price. It might be time for an upgrade.

    I have the WorkSharp KO MK.2, love it. I don't have the expansion attachment yet (they call it Blade Grinding). The thing makes short work of sharpening everything from kitchen knives to pocket folders - it'll even do scissors. Haven't tried it on mower blades and axes yet.

    For me it wasn't so much about accuracy (which the 1500 does a fine job of) but a matter of time spent throwing powder. I jumped on the Auto Trickler train back when the V2 came out and sold the 1500. Never looked back
