Rifle Scopes Nightforce NXS vs ATACR glass

Ill also throw this in there. I personally think the ATACR F1 trumps the S&B. Better turrets / Better spacing Shorter by about an inch No third knob for illumination

Rifle Scopes Nightforce NXS vs ATACR glass

I just upgraded from a NSX 5.5-22 to a 5-25 F1 ATACR. For ME, the color and resolution was much better. The CA on the NSX is very noticeable also. On the ATACR, I can't see any. Save the extra money for the ATACR.

What bedding method do you use for best accuracy

I apologize, didn't make it stiffer, but it certainly eliminated the flex. It's hard to explain without actually showing. You have a picture of the CF in the bartel channel ?

What bedding method do you use for best accuracy

Stiffening up the stock is deff something I want. On my A5, when I load the bipod, I can see the barrel and stock separate from each other. This results is bad groups for me. With the advise from another hide member, I put some automotive cork, about 1 inch in length, under the barrel near the...

What bedding method do you use for best accuracy

Looking to bed or have a smith bed my Remington 700, sitting in a Mcmillian A5. It seems there are more than just one method to do this. Iv read anything from, bedding just the chamber, chamber and forward of the recoil lug and pressure bedding the barrel. What in your opinion is the best...

Mcmillian a5 stock question about accuracy issues

The barrle is free floated via dollar bill. How please explain how to do this cork thing. Also when i load the bipod, the stock and barrel separate. Would the cork idea work even with that happening ?

Yes, aluminum pillars. Came from McMillan with pillars. Rifle hasn't been bedded.

Mcmillian a5 stock question about accuracy issues

So you are suggesting that it's the barrel? I just doubts it's the stock.. I mean tac ops and GA precision both is the A5 and have some Very accurate rifles.

Mcmillian a5 stock question about accuracy issues

Thanks for the reply. I'm sitting here kinda dumb founded about the whole situation. Same barred action has shot in a HS-stock with bipod. I had another Remington in a houge stock a while back that shot even better. That gun was shot off a bipod as well.

Mcmillian a5 stock question about accuracy issues

Took my Remington .308 out to the range today and was getting pretty awful groups. 1.5 to 2", mind you this same gun shot .5 pretty consistently in an HS stock. One thing I noticed was was the forearm bent like a wet noodle under any type bipod pressure. This resulted in garbage groups. This is...

M5 BM - Badger vs. PTG

Get the badger. You went high end by going McMillan, so don't go lower end by going PTG. Not saying it won't work, but you will wish you would have gotten the badger.

Is bedding a Mcmillian a5 necessary

I'll just have to shoot the stock unbedded and see how it preforms, givin it's already pillar bedded. Really dont wanna spend 3-4 hundred dollars on top of a $900 stock.

Is bedding a Mcmillian a5 necessary

I wonder if the accuracy increase had more to do with the barrel rather than bedding?
