Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
Read through all this and just wanted to toss my 2 cents in for you. I had an AIAT and it was great and had to sell it. Fast forward couple years and same thoughts as you... one action, chassis, scope, etc but with different barrels and different bolt heads and easy way to swap it. I chose a...
Yeah I know what you mean about the 6ARC. I've got half the upper done for myself for one but without being able to easily get ammo and brass for it, I am taking my time to get it done and waiting for sales to pop up to grab things for it.
Between those 2 and the component shortage I would run 223. With a good bullet choice the 223 can get it done. I've been on wait lists for ARC brass for a few months now and haven't managed to snag any. Same for grendel. Also checking on rules and laws where you live for hunting might...
I can’t remember. No longer have that stock or rail. It was a universal rail that area419 used to make before they changed over to their arca lock rails. Best bet would be to reach out to them to see if they sell something that will line up.
I went through this with a new dillon 550c unit. I load 6gt, 6.5cm, 6.5grendel, 223, and soon 6arc. Will summarize my process and what works for me and my results. The only mods I have done are to add orings to the die bodies to allow there to be easier adjustments and dies to settle and...
That’s what is keeping me from ever trying lever out. Speeds are great and consistent but way too temp sensitive. I’m still waiting on parts for my ARC but I’ll be trying out benchmark and h4895 and Staball when I get it all together just for the temp stability.
well fingers crossed I can get one of em to run well. I know H4895 worked really well with the 6mmAR for Mr Whitley so I’m hopefully I can get good results with it. My Grendel loves benchmark and 107s so I might just have to play around with it and see once I get the ARC all together.
Nice!!! If you could, Post up any info you get once his is finished. Would love to get some of the numbers for velocities with it in here to reference.
Starting the process to get a 6ARC upper built up and I’ll be using it for 1 and maybe 2 day PRS matches and have 2 questions (after all 44 pages - lots of awesome information). 1- has anyone done load testing with H4895 or Benchmark with 103 - 108 weight bullets in AR platform (wanting temp...
Does anyone here have the enclosed forend installed that can also run their scope sunshade? I’m trying to figure out what height rings I need to try. Currently have a Gen2 razor in some ARC high (1.26” - 32mm) rings and it’s too low to fit the sunshade.
Might be for sure. I’ve never run magnums or anything with that light of torque. But it works fine for 6.5cm pushed fast and a easy load on the 6GT. Have a paint mark on action and barrels and everything lines up every time.
Roughly 30-35 lbs of torque. Been shooting couple barrels with only this much torque since I got my TL3. Even when using barrel vise and action wrench. Followed suit and copied up what @reubenski has done / is doing with his TL3 and running it like a switch barrel rifle with shouldered prefits.
Yeah I can now. I just had some flats machined into a couple barrels and can use a torque wrench and crows foot and swap from a 6GT over to 6.5cm on the range or anywhere really quick and easy.
Yeah very true. I can swap between my two barrels in about a minute maybe I think right now. Just unscrew one and screw on the other. I know the barrel shank won’t fit under the NV bridge but there’s also not much clearance under the enclosed forend to be able to range swap barrels either...
