Hunting & Fishing prefered 6.5 hunting bullet

+1 on the 127gr LRX My hunting partner took his sheep this year with the 143gr ELD-X. It worked well, but it came apart. Shot was at 528 yards where it should have been running out of steam. Found the jacket and one chunk. Dall sheep don’t exactly have a huge will to live tho. I’d look...

About damned time...Say "buh-bye" Public Sectior Unions

My experiences with unions have all been negative. Refinery techs going home with no call mid-drive to reboot a router because they hit 40 hours kind of bullshit. Leaving the entire refinery network down. Not responding to outage calls on the weekend because they weren’t required to. Keeping...

    North-To Alaska

If your bike can handle gravel roads, do the Denali Highway and go out to McCarthy/Kennecott Mine. Both are pretty great views and fun riding.

Suppressors Dead Air Sandman K for Precision Bolt Gun

Have a ti and a K in suppressor jail. Never considered the K for a precision rifle, but I like the idea. Curious if anyone has tried. Will get to test both in July at the PR classes in Alaska, but hopefully you’ve had an answer before then.

Wife took for me (not at home), but hopefully it’s an accurate measurement.

    Elite Iron bipods

Call EI. They make a spigot rail adapter. The newer gen AT spigots are apparently a different size, but they made me a piece that fit my rifle after the initial one was too loose, so discuss when your rifle was made with them. I think it was Dan that I talked to, but they are super easy to work...

    RCBS Chargemaster Issue

I went the other direction. Had a Hornady and it would constantly throw high charges and then correct itself to accurate. Then it broke after about a year. Had the RCBS about 5 years now and it's been fine. If it throws over/under it at least tells me so I can re-dispense.

    Elite Iron bipods

Marc Taylor turned me on to the EI bipods 2 years ago at the Precision Rifle class Frank and he put on in Alaska. Been using it ever since. When I saw how easy it was for him to keep on glass with the recoil of 338LM, I had to have one. Wasn't aware of the aluminum model, will definitely pick...

Rifle Scopes Return to zero failures

Just speaking for one of the two classes he's talking about, but they were all MK 4's that I saw. No idea on the guts of those scopes as I don't use Leupold. By crumbled I mean they never returned to zero and it was over a mil off.

Rifle Scopes Return to zero failures

I was in the second class he was talking about. One Vortex had an issue, I shot next to the guy with the S&B; it's windage knob wouldn't reset to zero. Every Leupold MK4 in the class crumbled.
